CARPET CASTLE

Would not use again or recommend to anyone especially senior citizens. Got run around for months regarding pricing and installation. Sales person said it would cost me approximately $3000, he kept saying the owners were on vacation went on for about a month, .Used their financing and when the bill came they charged us over $5000. Took carpet recommended by and quot;experiencedand quot; sales person who said it would definitely meet my requests. Totally opposite of what I was looking for. Went thru the hassle of and quot;Shaw satisfaction guaranteeand quot;, and now they want an additional $1500 to replace with another Shaw carpet.
Really stay away from this place, use Home Depot or Lowe's instead. I was very stupid to trust this local business, please be careful and much smarter than I was.

Carpet Castle was one of the first places we looked at while shopping for new carpet, and we ended up back there in the end due to the helpful staff, carpet selection, and price. They sent someone out to measure the rooms and did a great job minimizing waste - we only had a few foot wide strips of carpet leftover at the end. Installation took about 1.5 days, Friday afternoon through Saturday (we were informed in advance how long it would take). The two guys who installed the carpet were great. They obviously had a lot of experience and were able to troubleshoot some quirks of our floor to insure the carpet looked great. The stairs are perfect and the seam is invisible. They seemed to take a lot of pride in their work, saying they would rather do it right the first time and have it take longer instead of having to come back later to fix a problem. We completely agree! We will definitely recommend them to anyone in the area looking for carpet.

They are outstanding and do what they say they are going to do. This company is on time and on budget. I will use them again in the future.

Paul, the salesman at the store, was extremely helpful in finding carpet samples that met our specific requirements for type, color, and price, and provided good information and advice to help us choose the appropriate carpeting and padding for our spaces. He also ordered several larger samples for us, after we had narrowed down our choices at home. The price quoted for the jobs was significantly less than another we got from a top-rated Angie's List store for exactly the same carpet and padding. Follow-up communication reqarding setting up the date for installation was the only area in which we had problems: they did not call to let us know when the carpet was in and ready, and did not always return our calls promptly. An initial date for installation was set, but when we called to confirm it, they had no record of it, necessitating a change in our schedule. Once the installers arrived, however, the job was completed per the new schedule and with excellent results: the installers were polite, considerate, and highly professional. The new carpeting looks great, and we think we got a very good value overall.

Well, we needed it done asap since we were putting our house on the market and a realtor was giving an appraisal in three days so this company worked with us at the last minute and believe it or not sent us a repairman on a Sunday morning! This gentleman was at our house for 6 hours and left our carpet looking like it should have in the first place! What a wonderful and knowledgable man! After getting the carpet cleaned on that Monday, it looks like brand new and now I am going to go ove rand leave a not so nice report with the original installers from the company in Gurnee who did an absolutely horrible job in the first place!
