I discovered Hitch two years ago. I was laid off from my job in which I had a company car, but I still had my car which had not been driven in over seven or eight years. I never got rid of it, because the no car payment plan is great thing! However, because I had not driven my car in such a long time there were some issues. Oh, and my car is a 1996 by the way. I had dropped my car off to a another mechanic, to whom I explained I needed my car checked out to determine if I needed to buy a new car, or if my car would be okay. Well, that mechanic let my car sit and sit, and so I ended up retrieving my car, and went around the corner to Hitch. He was great, he told me what I needed to address immediately, and what could wait. I explained I had been laid off, and needed my car quickly before the fleet company came to pick up my company car. I also had severe hood damage as well, and needed to get hood replaced. The other mechanic didn't even consider putting the hood on, he dismissed it very quickly stating he didn't do body work. Hitch on the other hand told me I could have the hood delivered to the shop, and they would put it on. This was the first time, and my total with the things he did which was probably about 5 was under $300! That included installing the hood, changing hoses, repairing a leak, and a few other things. The second time I went to Hitch was in April, I had stopped at firestone to get a quote because I was having issues that felt as though my entire engine was going to fall out of my car! I emailed the quote to Hitch, and erased what firestone had quoted, and they came in $700 cheaper! They were able to fix my car and have it back to me in the same day. This job was some major work! I am impressed with Hitch, they are honest, reasonable, and don't try to sell you on a bunch of stuff you don't need. They have also done work on my husband's car as well, and his experience has been nothing but stellar. I have always been a chain car place, but I can honestly say that I have a mechanic.
