After noticing that both of the wire cables on my 2-car-sized garage door had frayed and broken strands, I called Herb's Door Service whom I found on Angie's List.
After receiving estimates for cable replacement, I requested a service call.
Jim arrived at the agreed-upon time. We discussed the situation of both the worn cables and the 20 year old torsion springs mounted horizontally on the header beam directly above the door.
We agreed that both would be replaced.
Jim spent the next hour and a half doing this work. He did so in in a very professional manner.

"Customer is upset because there was a separate issue with the garage door opener that did NOT pertain to the original spring replacement work done 10 months prior. Claimed we'd cover everything at the initial service call, which is not our policy. Our 1 year warranty covered only the original springs replacement. After the office explained this, it was agreed he should talk directly to the owner. The owner tried calling numerous times and the customer did not return any of the calls. We know people only remember their version of events; these are the facts of this event."
