Casamento Painting

Very professional job. Job was quoted for 5-6 days and was completed on time. Extremely thorough...power washed entire house, fixed nail pops on siding, filled holes, caulked where needed, removed downspouts, primed heavily weathered side of house and primed all knots in cedar siding. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Their bid was very detailed, and they performed just as described. Power washed the exterior to remove loose paint, waited a couple of days to let everything dry, then hand scrapped remaining loose paint. Used tarps to catch paint chips and removed all for disposal. House looks great. Work was complete in about a week. Chuck was professional, communicated well, gave us a great quote. They did very good work and finished on schedule.

Hired them in 2010 to paint a fence. The owner quoted me 3 days of work, and 20 gallons of stain at nearly $2000. His guy painted the fence in six hours and used less than 8 gallons of stain. Chuck, the owner then expected us to absorb the inflated additional cost and still pay the full $2000 for six hours of work. I refused, and he insisted that the work was quoted as 'per job' not per hour. He finally had to settle on price so he could get paid. We let it go.
Last year I found out they painted one of my rental properties, without prior consent, KNOWING that the property was a rental and the tenant had no such permission to do so, and the owner (Chuck) proceeded to then slander me engaging in unrelated discussions about myself with said problematic tenant, which I had to end up evicting some weeks later for breach of contract and chronic non-payment of rent. We came VERY close to suing this company and the owner for unlawfully modifying a rental property with foreknowledge of ownership. I would NEVER even consider hiring them again. Their quality of work is not what i would call or expect from a professional either, and we have worked with many as developers.Unscrupulous, unprincipled and unprofessional. Stay far away.

It went perfectly.  The weather cooperated, the crew was great and they did a beautiful job painting our home.  We are so proud of how it looks compared to the color that was on it when we bought the home.  They took pictures before they started and after they were done.  We were very pleased to hear that our home would be put on his company's web page because of the vast difference in the before and after.

I'd love to be able to post pics so you can see for yourself the horrific experience we had with them. Thankfully we got out our ladder and inspected the carpenters job before the painting or the painters would have painted over it which I assume is what was the intention. BUYERS BEWARE. Instead of removing the rotted wood, they nailed the new cedar to it and scheduled the painters to come paint over it. We notified them right away and showed them the pictures which at that point, the and quot;gentlemanand quot; seemed shocked and informed us that the carpenter wasn't his and quot;usualand quot; guy. We had the job re-done by another carpenter (the right way) and the response from Casamento was that and quot;it is the owners responsibility to maintain the propertyand quot;. Well, that's why we hired you - isn't it. They shorted us almost 1/2 of the material we were charged for and then offered a measly $150 off the proposal for material we never received and were over charged for in the 1st place. Gee Thanks. There were no attempts to rectify the situation other than that. Nothing for the time and material to pay another carpenter to correct (and actually do) the work we hired them to do. When we explained (with proof from the actual rotted wood we kept to the before and after pictures we took) that we were completely unsatisfied with the and quot;workand quot; performed, they still expected full payment on the proposal and we were basically told and quot;oh welland quot;. I have already contacted the states attorneys office and my hope is with this review, no other good people will have to experience the poor workmanship or aggravation this company has provided to us. All they had to do was at least offer to rectify the situation. Do yourself a favor and don't give them your money, you will not be happy with the outcome. Also, on a separate note - the 15% discount for being an Angie's List member was not extended to us. We just feel extremely insulted with the whole experience and hope we can prevent it from happening to anyone else.

If there is anything that I have a problem with they fix it. The prices were not the highest or the lowest but I would recommend them to anyone.

Project manager, Ron Jacoby, was extremely friendly and informative. We felt we were given a very fair price and the work was done very well. The only and quot;glitchand quot; was that they happened to become short-handed as one of their workers encountered an emergency which made the projects take a little longer than expected. This, of course, was an unforeseen circumstance and no refection on Casamento. I would highly recommend them and look forward to choosing them again in the future. Great job!
