Rene is an amazing contractor with an excellent, experienced crew. We had noticed the work his company had done at a nearby property around Lake Terramere, and one of our neighbors had used his services as well, for a smaller project, and was quite happy. Ours was a big project and Rene spent countless hours with us in the planning stages, right in our own kitchen, with his Uvision-equipped laptop. If you have not seen Unilock's Uvision 3D Landscape CAD design tool in action, you will be blown away. Rene is quite adept at using the tool and was able to show us almost instantly how our project would look after making suggested changes (as well as the resulting price change). We are so happy with our completed paver patio, walkway, driveway, and mailbox. The landscape lighting makes everything especially beautiful at night. We have received many compliments from our relatives, friends, neighbors and even total strangers. Our regular mailman says we have the nicest mailbox on his route! From April through November, we now use our gas fire pit and gas grill frequently. Rene does not do landscaping, and we have since added patio furniture, beautiful perennials and shrubs (all in hardwood-mulched beds), and also plant many annuals every year to further beautify the patio. Our only small complaint is how the compressed rock foundation around our hardscaping extended out 18-24 inches, making it impossible to plant close to seat walls and borders. If this is a concern for you, discuss it with Rene ahead of time. We are sure he will be able to do something about it. The project took about 6 weeks to complete and was expensive, but you get what you pay for! We had sought estimates from other hardscaping companies, but very quickly rejected all of them after Rene started spending so much time with us. Rene's company is probably not the least expensive, nor the most expensive out there, but (in our opinion) it is the best! Rene was also quick to address any issues and his crew was very good about keeping the job site clean. Apologies that we have no pictures. Rene replaced our very worn asphalt driveway and cement front walkway/step with beautiful brick pavers. He provided terrific advice on both material and design. Price was lower than other bids. His team worked quickly and professionally. He was also very flexible when we requested a last minute design change. After discussing cost and labor for sealing the final product, we decided to seal it ourselves. He gave us the name of the appropriate product and the location where we could purchase it, along with advice on how to care for the bricks. We are very pleased with the result and would definitely hire again.

Rene and his team designed and executed a great plan to renovate our side and back yard into an outdoor dream area. They created a beautiful area within our budget and time-frame. Would use them again.

Rene and his crew were instrumental in re-designing and re-setting our back patio as we had just built a pool. He was conscientious of our budget and used existing bluestone where possible. He worked hand in hand with our landscaper to ensure that no plants were destroyed and installed new drains where necessary. His finished product included power washing the patio and surrounding areas of the back of our home.

I had many questions, and the owner was very helpful addressing all of my concerns before the work started (and was very easy to get in touch with).  They provided samples and helped to suggest brick & accent color combinations.

The work was done quickly.  Very professional team, with professional trucks and equipment.  They did beautiful work, and they cleaned everything up completely before they left. 

I think the pricing was very good as well.

Clark visited the home after I talked to him about the job at his workplace.  He then suggested options for shape and addiitional features that I selected from.  The work started as promised and was done in two days by a great crew that cleaned up very well.  Clark came back to review with me and I added some additional work that required the crew to return for a day.   That work was done within 3 days of my request.

Based on word of mouth and having seen the quality of the company's work in our area we contacted their representative Toby Flores, who provided us an estimate, which we took. The work was of excellent quality and Toby was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this company and guarantee you will not be disappointed in their work.

Rene had been to our house last year to estimate a patio because we thought we were going to build one last year. He came out again this year and provided a new estimate, but did use last years brick prices, which was nice. He asked us questions about what we wanted, showed us examples of materials and pictures of his work, and provided a diagram for us to think about. He was ready to go in early spring, but it took a month to get a permit from Round Lake (arrg). Rene and his crew were able to start in late May, and were finished in a week. They did have to make some design changes mid-way through due to the contour of the land, but it all turned out quite nice. Mid-stream design changes always make me nervous, but Rene has a lot of experience and made good decisions. The end result was definitely one of the nicest patios in the whole neighborhood.
