Since this was not an emergency, we agreed that Heartland irrigation would come whenever they were in the area. Contractor came out and assessed the problem. He provided a re-routing of pipes, installed a new valve to replace one previously left under a patio installation. He checked the system and corrected a minor wiring flaw.
System is fully functional now with no problems.
