WINDOWS & SIDING UNLIMITED INC

Everything went fine.  The windows were professionally installed.  The installer was professional.  I was pleased.   I did notice a few flaws.  One window was scratched and the screens did not fit properly.  The screens did not cover the drain holes and, of course, insects would be able to enter.

I was told this would be fixed.  It is now November 5, 2013 and nothing has been fixed.  I called the owner of Windows & Siding numerous times.  The answer is alway "next week it will be fixed."  On several occassions he said he would call me back, which he didn't. He is alway nice about it, but nothing gets done.

We had an appointment with another window company at our home the night before. Had never even heard of this company or called them. Apparently they know somebody that had seen the OTHER company's car in front of our house. He wanted to give us a quote to so he showed up the next night unannounced and was waiting when my fiance got out of his car. He looked around and gave us a quote and gave us his information. I found the whole thing kind of shady and ultra-pushy salesmen style. A week later he again knocked on our door unannounced with no appointment and left his business card. Even though his price matches another company we got a quote from, I wouldn't go with them because I don't agree with their methods. Also, it looks like their past record on here has some bad performances, while the other companies we've gotten quotes from all have A's.

THE WINDOWS THEY INSTALLED LEAKED AND ARE MISSING PARTS. THE PAINT IN PEELING OFF AND THE LOCKS HAVE BROKEN IN 2 MONTHS. NO ONE WILL CALL US BACK. THE COMPANY (WINDOWS AND SIDING UNLIMITED) BLAMES THE INSTALLER AND THE INSTALLER BLAMES THE COMPANY. THIS IS HAPPENING EVEN THOUGH THE INSTALLERS ARE HIRED BY THE COMPANY.

CONTRACT SIGNED 7/10/03; INSTALL BEGAN 11/11/04--FINAL REPAIRS--5/1/05--INCREDIBLE EXCUSES FOR TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION--TOOK 6 LETTERS FROM 11/04 UNTIL 4/1/05 TO GET THEM TO REPLACE FAULTY SCREENS.

1 WINDOW INSTALLED WITH A BROKEN LOCK. HAVE BEEN WAITING 2 MONTHS TO HAVE FIXED. NO RETURN CALLS. MARKETING REP HAS PROMISED TO FIX SEVERAL TIMES AND HAS NOT ARRIVED ON DATES PROMISED.
