Yes, I recommend this pro
Everything has been great. All of the staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Dr. Ed is professional, pleasant, meticulous, and concerned with pain control. I have not had a problem. My only complaint would be price, but sometimes you get what you pay for. I do not choose health care providers based on cost.

I have taken my daughter (now 10) to Dr. Monroe twice now, once in his
old office and today in his new office. Each time the staff were
friendly and you can tell there must be an office code that everyone
must smile and be friendly. As a single parent, I am very much at ease
when my daughter goes back for a cleaning and the dental hygienist (the
same one both times we went) was very open and forthcoming with
communications and recommendations (ie. fluoride treatment, ex rays,
and even recommending an orthodontist since my daughter is ready for
braces at any time). Sure, they may cost a more than most other dentists
in the area, but at least I know what I am getting and you just can't
put a price on a parents peace of mind.

My son was very young at the time. I brought him to Dr Monroe for a general cleaning. Dr Monroe found a loose tooth and without my knowledge or consent, he pulled the tooth. My son left his office with bloody cotton in his mouth - I was mortified. I was also informed by Dr Monroe that we need to watch his bottom teeth are they may and quot;turn outwardand quot; - I asked and quot;so the back of his bottom teeth will spin and turn around completely?and quot; He replied and quot;yes.and quot; Never went back to him - quack.
Response from Edward Monroe DDS
"It is unfortunate that your experience here was not one of a pleasant manner in which our office prides ourselves upon. We have reviewed the clinical notes from 2005, when your 11 year old son was last seen in our office. He came here in April for a routine cleaning with the hygienist followed by an examination from Dr. Ed. At that time, he did extract a loose and decayed primary tooth, which you consented to. The hygienist gave you post op instructions which included the knowledge of the gauze placed to help control the bleeding. Dr. Ed also mentioned your son may need orthodontics in the future, and it is something that should be monitored. Understandably so, initial knowledge of this can be confusing. It would have been in your best interest to ask questions to understand your son’s situation, rather than leaving without being fully educated. We are a full service dental office and Dr. Ed welcomes the opportunity to educate patients of the various procedures offered within our office. When your son returned in November, this would have been a great time to follow up with any miscommunication worries you may have had. It is our responsibility to help you understand the benefits and services that we provide here at A Lifetime of Smiles. Please know that we are here for all of your dental needs and welcome the opportunity to provide you with the excellent service you deserve."

I was having sensativity issues. I explained to the dentist that the issue was between 2 teeth. I even pointed out to her which teeth were involved, as in the past one of the teeth had been broken and repaired. I went in and was advised the check up and ex-rays would be $110.00. During the check up the dentist says to the assistant I need a better view, so they take another ex-ray. they did not bother to inform me that this extra ex-ray would cost me more than I was quoted. The extra ex-ray took a picture between the teeth where the 1st one they did, did not take a picture between the teeth. 1st thought in my head, why would you not take the ex-ray of between the teeth, when you were told the issued in the first place was between the teeth. 2nd don't you think that after I informed you that I do not have insurance and am on a budget, that you should inform me if you are going to do a procedure that will cost more money. Then she shows me the ex-ray and says you have a cavity. Then all of a sudden she says it goes into the root we have to do a root canal. She showed me the ex-ray, yes the cavity went into the root area, but it went up not down into the root. Very little of the cavity actually was in the area near the root. No other options were given just the most expensive procedure they had was quoted. $2174.00 with the crown. They never discussed anything that would even save a buck. What about just pullling the tooth? No that would be too cheap. I would stay clear of them if you are not rich or insured. Especially when they quote then do more than quoted and expect you to just say oke doke I'll pay more than I was quoted.
