Zac Of All Trades

We bought a home in Wheaton in July 2018. Zac is All Trades came out to inspect the home. He failed to find the following: shoddily repaired and leaking A-coil in our furnace compression unit (air conditioner wouldn’t keep up just 3 days after we moved in and our house was 85°+ for a couple nights in a row, with my pregnant wife and toddler living in our new house - has to replace our AC and cost us $4,000); a water line resting along an uninsulated wall in the basement (which froze and burst during the polar vortex, causing nearly $10,000 of damage to the finished basement, laundry room, and bathroom having to rip up the entire floor and begin an insurance claim); literally countless holes where mice entered in that very autumn and infested our crawl space (spent over $1,000 on Men In Black pest control who did an excellent job finding and resolving all holes, drippings, and dead mice)...needless to say we have sunk $15,000 of repairs and losses into this house and we haven’t even been there 6 months. He did a seemingly thorough job by finding mold in the attic (which we negotiated into our agreement with the seller), and some more general issues but they were hardly problems compared to these behemoths that could have been caught and instead fell on our laps as new firs time homeowners. Flood, mice, overheating and new ac units...he really dropped the ball. I was pleased by his personality and professionalism in person, but having lived through his neglect and the consequences thereafter in these areas, I have no other choice but to leave a solid and confident 1 star rating. If he reads this I hope he reaches out and offers us our fee back which cost us $750 including the radon testing.
