The item was large but easy to pick up.
However I wasn't home when it arrived.
The company worked hard to ensure I received my package without much delay.
I was very pleased.

The time was short since I had not brought my luggage into many rooms and was sure there was limited exposure.

The next evening after returning from an out of town hotel stay for a wedding, we found a bed bug on the sheets of our bed. We captured the bug and told our landlord who wanted to bring in a and quot;chainand quot; pest control company. But with my wife expecting our second child and a toddler already running about, the possibility of spraying chemicals about needlessly was the last option we wanted to explore. So, after some quick internet research, we found CDIS as an alternative. We discussed hiring CDIS with our landlord, but she maintained the and quot;chainand quot; company was needed no matter who we wanted to hire. In the end, our compromise was to let CDIS come inspect first before another company was called in.
Despite the cost, we agreed to pay for the CDIS services out of our own pockets. So the and quot;Band quot; rating is purely for the expense and even though more costly than other types of pest services might be, we would not hesitate to call CDIS again if needed.
Everyone we spoke to over the phone or performed service was very professional and courteous. They provided a contract to sign and return and answered all our preliminary questions frankly and in detail. They fit our service call into the schedule fairly quickly too.
When the two service reps and dog arrived, the hardest part was keeping our toddler quiet and explaining that the dog had to work and could not be played with or pet.
They first confirmed that the bug we had captured was indeed a bed bug. We then discussed details of our trip, where we found the bed bug, where we had been with our luggage, etc, etc. They were very methodical in their inspection, starting where we found the bug, then proceeding from room to room very slowly and deliberately checking each piece of furniture, fabric or area know to be hiding places for bed bugs. They even took some extra time to check our child's room twice since our son was a little excited the first time the dog entered the room and was not as quiet as he could have been. (The dog is able to focus better in a quiet environment.) We even had them go through our car since our luggage had sat in our car overnight before being unpacked.
In addition to the dog searching for bugs/eggs, both technicians also performed a visual search too -- they turned over furniture and emptied bags, but replaced anything and straightened up as needed.
We received advice on purchasing mattress encasements and answers to all our questions about their search.
In the end, both my wife and I, as well as our landlord, were impressed at the high level of concentration and detail with which the technicians and dog performed their inspection. The chain pest control company still came out later to do an inspection that lasted roughly less than 1/4 of the time CDIS spent. But thanks to CDIS, our landlord was convinced that aggressive chemical measures were not necessary. Luckily, (knock on wood) no other bed bugs were found. Thanks CDIS for a job well done.

They were wonderful to work with. It was unbelievably phenomenal. There are two handlers and one dog that come in and the dog goes through everything. They did it very nicely. I never felt like they invaded my privacy for one second. I wanted to make sure if I had bedbugs they found it.
