After he said he completed the tuckpointing repair work I had the same problem with chips of concrete falling from the chimney. I reported him to my Village Inspector who contacted him regarding this issue and he returned half of his fee($300). This is another example of contractors taking advantage of senior citizens. I would warn your customers of this company. I had to hire another contractor who did the job correctly who was not on Angie' List.
Both recommended that the chimney be taken down and rebuilt.
The other provider actually was a little cheaper but timing was an issue, so I went with Mike Weber. He was responsive when I called, I usually had to leave a message and he would call me back within a day or so.
He stopped by and left a sample of the brick he was going to use to rebuild the chimney. Once I approved, he let me know when they could start. They completed the work and all appears to be fine.
