Gary's Painting and Decorating

Painting is fine but there were a ton of issues. Quoted removing old wallpaper but just ended up painting over it. Probably 15-20 spots where there was 1-2" paint streaks all over the floor. Also hide any valuables, one of the crew took a diamond necklace. It was there the morning they started, and gone by the end of the day.

Gary and his crew did a fantastic job painting the frame on our outside deck and a bedroom. His prices are reasonable, and he is very friendly and easy to work with. His attention to detail and honesty make him the best painter we have ever had. This is the second time we hired him, and we will definitely hire him in the future as we need more painting done.

Gary is from LaGrange Pk and traveled to Schaumburg. I work in Downers Grove and was referred by a friend. He listens to what the customer wants and aims to please. Gary and his crew did a great job. Can't wait to hire him again this year to paint bedrooms.

Gary was quick to respond to our initial call. Provided a detailed quote and gave us suggestions to improve the look of our rooms. He repaired a large crack in the ceiling and cleaned and painted our large radiators and covers. He and his crew were prompt, polite and highly skilled painters. He works quickly and leaves the room immaculate. Gary and his team are true painting professionals.

We had Gary and his crew paint our daughter's bedroom. The room previously was wallpapered, so we removed that prior to them painting it (he told us it would just be a good money saver for us to do it instead of his crew). They did a great job. The color was just what we wanted and they were very precise and clean with their job. We will definitely have Gary paint our next project.

Gary's Painting and Decorating was contacted by the Riverside Police Department to give us a quote to repaint two locker rooms at our police department after searching Angie's List for painters in the area. A message was left and Gary Gilberto called me back right away. I explained to Gary what needed to be done and he came to the police department to look at the job that needed to be done. The next day Gary called and emailed the quote to me and the price was very reasonable. We chose Gary's Painting and Decorating to complete the paint job of the two locker rooms. Gary arrived early for the job with his assistant to start the necessary prep work and painting. Gary and his assistant were very trustworthy and we had no problems leaving them unattended while working in the police department. They finished the job and everything looks excellent and we will definitely use Gary's Painting and Decorating again. I may also use them for my own house.

I had a fairly simple job - some water spots on the ceiling from a previous roofing incident, with a couple of small chips in the plaster. I called Gary on a Saturday afternoon to inquire about his services; he replied within a couple of hours and came out the next morning to take a look. His crew was able to fit us in just a few days later. They were very professional and friendly and did the job in less than two hours. We appreciated his very flexible hours and attitude and would definitely call them again.

Everything was great--from start to finish. Gary is an energetic and talented painter and he enthusiastically helped us through the project. The living room and bedrooms needed painting, as well as the outside kitchen addition. Gary helped us pick colors and recommended a carpenter to replace some missing trim. The project was completed quickly and on budget. I hope to have him back for more interior painting soon!

Gary and his employees were very professional. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner (faster than they said they would even). I appreciated Gary's advice regarding paint choices. He gave us the best quote and we feel we still got the best work possible. He came back after we had the carpet and furnitue moved in to do touch ups for no additional charge. My husband and I were thrilled with the work Gary did and would definitely hire him to do any painting we need in the future.

Gary cares about his work and his price is commensurate with the work he does.

The painting was done in a few hours. All clean up was done thoroughly Gary even climbed out thru the window well to avoid stepping on the fresh paint on the stairs. Gary followed up with a phone call the next day to see how the stairs looked when the paint dried. When I told him that the patched areas were not completely coverd with paint - he immediately scheduled a day to return and apply a second coat.
