"Your original leaky Kohler faucet was/is 10yrs old. I advised you, it was possible it could be covered under warranty but you would need to find your original receipt and contact Kohler for a replacement. We cannot pay and warranty for free for a faucet we did not buy or install, especially 10yrs ago. We did not wipe our hands of responsibility, in fact, it was the other way around."
There was 15' of dirt piled in the front yard about 4' wide & 5' tall. Mike Wagner told me that they could clean up the dirt, but he would not recommend it as it would sink & I would not be happy. I suggested that he leave a couple of feet on top on the ground for settling & he again said that it would sink & he did not know how much, so he again advised that I leave the dirt to settle.
The job was completed late summer 2014, when the dirt no longer settling, after the freeze I called Wagner to arrange for the removal. The girl in the office said that they would put me on a list. After a couple of weeks I called Mike directly to see when they were coming out since I needed to plant grass before the water restrictions. He told me that the dirt clean up was "landscaping" that was not covered in the contract. I told him that "landscaping" to me meant grass planting, replacing the shrub that died & the border that 3' was removed & the entire edging would have to be replaced. He apologized for the "misunderstanding". I told him that I did not feel that I misunderstood anything.
I waited until mid-May & emailed his office explaining the above & said that if I did not hear from them I would put a sign in my yard of who left the mess & write bad reviews. I waited another 2 weeks & on May 30th send my final email. I have never had a return email or been contacted by anyone.
My questions is, why would they clean it up when the job was completed & it was not considered landscaping, but it I left it as he recommended twice-they are no longer responsible? Why didn't he explain that if I left the dirt I would have to hire someone to clean up?
The dirt has small gravel mixed in it & I can't give it away. So far 2 landscapers refused to even give me a bid. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
