The repairman from Girard checked all the wiring and found nothing wrong with it. But the switch for the garbage disposal was on a three-switch wall plate, and one of the switches never did anything we were aware of in 25 years of living here. So, he redid the switch plate so we only have two switches (one for the garbage disposal and one for an over-the-sink light) which should work better in the long run, and certainly looks better! He was very courteous and professional and the work was done much more quickly than I had expected.

We received excellent service from Luke, an experienced electrician who was able to trace the problem to a fuse box in the basement that appeared to have been left over when circuit breakers were installed by a previous owner. We had no idea that the fuse box was still connected to anything.

He called early in the morning before leaving the shop. Was here when he said he was coming. Went right to work. Answered my questions without making me feel ``electrically challenged ". Put the outlet where I requested.

The repair went perfectly.  The repairman was extremely courteous and knowledgeable.   He was able to bend and secure the bracket holding the lamp and just had to replace a couple broken parts.  It looks and works great and the fee we were billed was very reasonable especially since a bucket truck was required.  We have used Girard Electric before - most recently last year when we did some major interior renovations.  Their work at that time was also excellent and the technicians were very pleasant to work with.  The fees they charge for the work they do is very reasonable.  They are our #1 contractor to call for any electrical work.

I have used Girard's services for 10+ years, as my mother had before me.  I have had the same electrician at my house at least once a year for the last five or so years.  He is friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and quick.  We have never had a problem with his work afterwards.  I would recommend Girard Electric to anyone.

I like my older desk light (dates back over 40 yrs to when I was in high school). When I brought the light in to their store, I wasn't completely sure what repairs it needed. When I spoke w/ Fran (one of the owners and also an electrician) and explained the problem, he told me what he thought needed to be done, the price, and mentioned that I could buy a new light at a big box store for less than repair costs. After explaining that  I prefer the quality of older things instead of new things that will only last for a few years, I asked him to fix it so I could get another 40 yrs use from it. He did and had it done 2 days later. The light works  great! I was so pleased that I brought another light in later for repairs. Fran also fixed a drill that wasn't working right. Same fine quality work!  My business is now theirs to lose. If you need electrical things repaired, Fran or Rich @ Girards are the guys you want!
