They installed a stained fiberglass entrance door and full view glass storm door. Great company, great workmanship.

They're a great local company. Workmanship is excellent. They installed larger downspouts which work better than the old ones. The Shur Flo gutter guards are working well also.

I had the door delivered to me, so that I could stain and finish the wood (interior side) myself. I was rather slow, but Allers never bugged me about it, so that was good. I finished the door, and when it was to be installed we discovered the screen door had a dent in it, so they replaced it.
The door was installed, but was set somewhat crooked. We could see more of a gap at the top or bottom ( can't remember). So we called and they came out again, and adjusted it.
Afterwards, the door did not slide easily, but we were told it would loosen up a bit. It did not.
In the winter there were drafts next to the trim of the door. I did not complain the first winter, and it was also not that severe a winter. This winter the drafts were obvious again on windy cold days, and of course the door was difficult to slide. At a warm spell I decided to call and report the problem. Allers did say they'd come back any time.
So again the door was adjusted, and caulk was applied to gaps between siding and door. The drafts seem lessened, but there is no improvement in sliding function.
I am having a representative from Anderson come out this week to talk about windows, and I will talk about this door also. So thisis an ongoing issue at this point.

"Our company removed old existing Andersen patio door that customer was not happy with and installed another new Andersen patio door to replace it. We have serviced a couple issues on patio door after customer called into our office. The customer was informed of a water issue below her patio in her basement that could possibly be causing the floor to hump in the area below patio door which may be affecting its operation. Had customer notified us about the continuing problem, we would have inspected it on our last service call recently performed. Thank you"

After a review and discussion at the showroom, I purchased a storm door for my front door and had it installed by the provider. Everything went well. I was very satisfied with both the storm door/screen and the provider. They were prompt, courteous, did not leave a mess and knew what they were doing. I feel that I obtained a good value for the money. I will definitely go to see them in the future for siding, windows and doors should the need arise.
