Untrustworthy business owner and services. Owner of Jacob?s ladder has been very unprofessional as of late in regards to a roofing commission that was contracted to start on Aug 9th after being requested of the necessary deposit to begin his work. We paid the deposit with no hesitation or pushback and that?s when we started to receive the lack of work ethic on his behalf. Over the weeks he had numerous excuses of why he couldn?t make his way to our property to fix the roof. From car issues breaking down on him to personal issues that suddenly come up, with no appropriate communication to let us know of delays. With constant pushbacks from his part as well poor communication on planning appropriately to come to do the job, we agreed after finally getting ahold of the owner Kevin to request a refund after no work on the roof was completed. It?s beens over 2 months and still no refund. Do not do business with him unless you want to lose your deposit fee

On 9-5-2-21 the owner from Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC gave me a quote to take care of my roof and apply the roof coating. Paid a deposit of half the amount so job could be done. Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC provided a 6-year warranty on the roof coating. The owner let me know to call if there were any issues with the roof and they would come out and take care of any issues. 2022, have had water coming in and leaking into the bathtub from above the window. This should not happen since roof had been sealed in 2021. Contacted the owner at Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC on these dates: 8-17-2022 left a voice message to please contact me for Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC to come out and look at my roof. 8-23-2022 sent a text message to please call me regarding the issue of water coming into my home. 8-23-2022 sent an email to Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group asking for the common courtesy of a return phone call regarding my roof. Left Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC three ways to contact me and as of 8-31-2022 have not been contacted by this company at all. On 8-28-2022, while on a ladder to do some painting of the gutters, took a look at my roof and saw the gray color (the color of the roof before being coated) showing through in numerous places where the white coating should have been applied with a brush, in the areas that were not smooth/flat on the roof, along with being rolled on. Since there are many areas where the gray color can be seen, that means the coating was not applied evenly or the gray color would not be able to be seen at all. I paid a lot of money to this company for the job. I want this to be corrected by Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC, have a 6-year warranty from them, and if they do not correct this issue, a complete return of the money I paid for the job. Jacobs Ladder Roofing Group PLLC, Justice, IL Only after I contacted the IDFPR and the Illinois Attorney Generals office did the owner finally show up at my home on June 8, 2023 asking me if they re-coated my roof would that be satisfactory and would be out the following week to re-coat and call first to let me know what day this would be done. As of July 17, 2023 the owner never called, showed up or contacted me by text, landline, cell or in person.

I used Jacobs Ladder to replec my flat roof on a 2 story building and they did an outstanding job.

Initial inspection was very thorough so the estimate was the most accurate of all the ones I received. I was kept apprised of the work progress, and any issues or delays immediately. This contractor did an excellent job! Employees’ were polite and professional. There was one wee little discomfort with the transaction. The Contractor was a no-show the first scheduled day of work, but made up for it by doing an excellent job. I would definitely hire this contractor again, minus the no-show. Kevin was very responsive, courteous and helped to work with my insurance company (for wind/hail damage that had occurred). He was very transparent with what needed to be done and communicative throughout the entire process. His Pricing was fair for the job at hand. His integrity was apparent and I hired Kevin for the job (to replace the entire roof). Kevin always got back to me to answer any and all of my questions. Kevin even had his brother (also a roofer) to be present and involved when Kevin was not available (for family reasons). The job was done quickly (from start to finish) and done very well. The workers were very courteous to me & the neighbors property. They thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend using these guys.

This company is extremely responsive and they do quality work. They are reasonably priced and they correctly advised us that an estimate provided by Illinois Roofing was incorrect and overly expensive.

This contractor is very courteous and willing to work with your schedule. He explained what needed to done, and how he would do it. He has an eye for detail. He will return before winter to be sure his work is still looking good. The only imperfection was some overspray from the job, but he will return to clean it up.

We needed a very small repair on a decorative exterior board on our prairie style house. These guys (Kevin) responded right away when I called, and came out to asses the job within 24 hrs. We agreed on a fair price and work commenced 48 hours later. Great job and would use them again, unlike some other companies I contacted that never returned phone calls.

I think that I was over charged for the service I received. I kept having to text them to make sure they were coming. They brought a ladder but did not have anything to put the debris in when they took it out of the gutters. Forgot to get the silicone for the gutters had to go to a home improvement store. They borrowed a bucket from me.

The crew a lot Earlier than I was told ready to go to work little rain delay stayed on the job started with drops still coming down finished a job exceptionally workmanship craftsmanship and quality I would recommend to anybody come by and see their work thank you

Hiring contractors can be scary and uncertain. This is a great company and one that I would definitely use again. Service is prompt, communication is excellent and the work is really good. Thank you.
