He completed about 80-90% of the garage, then he took the money and ran. This was after he started showing up at his convenience until December of 2011, at which time I tried to confront him about the situation. The work is not good quality, yet he continued to say he needed more money. This was not our main home, and we were not there to watch him. We finally brought in another contractor who said it will cost us about $15,000 to fix the work that was originally done. The second contractor said he had never seen construction done so badly.
