Nite Owl Appliance Repairs Inc.

Lowe's warranty company selected Nite Owl Appliance in Joliet and
scheduled an appointment. Then Nite Owl contacted me, confirmed my
address, and told me the service call window would be extended for my
appointment. I took off work, only to receive a call from Nite Owl
AFTER they were already late. They canceled my appointment because I am
"outside their service area."
Even after I explained that I lost work and could I speak with a manger,
they refused to give me management name.
When I called Lowe's warranty company back, they said Nite Owl has a 25 mile radius service area. My house is under 20 miles. Nite Owl had the address and could have and should have confirmed the distance when they scheduled the appointment.
After waiting three days with a non-working appliance, plus missing and entire day of work, I had to start all over again to get on another company's repair schedule.

Follow up after scheduling service via web was slow - 3 days before they actually came to the house. Repairman spent 5 minutes to say that the machine needed a new motor, and he would check to see if they had it in stock. I said fine, go ahead. Received call from their office 32 hours later - asking me if I wanted to order the part! I said yes, but they said it was too late (3:30 PM) to check their inventory that day. Three days later, I called to check the status. Part was still on order - they said it might be coming from Peoria, or California. They weren't sure. I called another company; they not only had the part, they installed it first thing the next morning. I called Nite Owl to cancel the service. I WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!
