Handyman Service
She had two young kids with her. She worked outside cutting the blacktop up and putting it in. She was going to give me a 10% discount for being a senior citizen. She found she couldn’t use the trench because he couldn’t get deep enough. She took the trench back and she would put it on top and the water would go away from the home. She asked for the receipt back from the lumber company and it would save me money. She ended up buying this silicone stuff you put on cement so if it rained again it wouldn’t come in the house. She got the trench done, the kids came in and sprayed the mold and put in new installation and new wood. They didn’t paint anything, but did not seal anything with the silicone stuff. They added some trim. I had everything for the AC wall; all they had to do was move the AC. She was getting in a hurry to get to another job. They finished, but they finished all they were going to do and upped the price. He said to call in 2 weeks and she could finish the AC. We had the rain yesterday and it didn’t come in my house, but it didn’t go in the trough either. When they weren’t in a hurry they did a good job, when they got rushed they weren’t very good. They didn’t give me a new receipt. They charged about $90- $100 an hour and it took about 5-6 hours. They were going to cut the mold off and put new wallboard up and put insulation in and seal it, but they didn’t. They just sealed outside around the siding of the house. I had to buy all the materials for the work as well. She gave me the receipt and then turn around and asked for it back because she had to return it. There was no 10% discount because Home Depot gave her a 10% discount compared to Lowe’s but I didn’t see anything that saved me money. It was $650 for the labor plus the materials which was $300. They kept the money and the receipt and everything. They were nice and should have made sure I got some of my money back. I would give them a B-/C+.
