Dave has an intuitive mind for carpentry.  He accurately carried out the plan as drawn, but flexibly worked around unforeseen issues.  With tricks up his sleeve, he executed a job that would probably have taken someone else longer to do.  He and his son Jake are a well-oiled machine, working extremely hard - but also efficiently.  They laid tarp and plastic everywhere, were polite and personable.

Dave Machtig, the owner,  is a consummate professional and a perfectionist.  He will not a leave a job until he is sure the customer is 100% satisfied.  Every time we have used Machtig Home Improvement the work done has exceeded expectations.  Dave constantly adds value in the planning process by suggesting the right materials and approaches for how to address difficult situations.  He communicates constantly throughout the entire process so as to avoid unexpected situations or "surprises".
I cannot say enough great things about this company and all the work they have done to date.  I'm a little afraid to let people know about this undiscovered "gem" of a company.  Believe me, you will not regret making the call to get Dave involved.  He especially bailed us out when we had a terrible experience with another contractor and came in quickly to address the situation.  I get compliments all the time on the custom wood work he did in our kitchen on a custom railing.
