It went well, the installer came right on schedule and had the job completed very quickly. I did have to call him back the next week as my garage door went up twice on it's own while I was not at home and he came out and corrected it.

It went well. They came right away and took care of the problem with the door and made recommendations about how to maintain the springs on the garage opener to keep it from happening again, or at least not breaking for a long time.

I felt at easy dealing with them. I didn't feel that they tried to sell me the most expensive items they had, but rather what would work for me. They gave me all the information on the different options and we came up with a plan that would work best for me. Scheduling was easy, convenient and they were right on time. Work was completed in a timely manner and I was walked through how to work all functions of the garage door opener. The technician even serviced my second garage door with no extra charge. He also showed me how to service the garage doors in the future if I wanted to do my own maintenance. I would defiantly use them again if need be.

Monday morning I received a call from Stephanie to advise that the technician would be here shortly. He arrived within 30 minutes; professional and helpful. The rusty condition of some of the garage door components (in addition to the cables) were too far gone to be salvaged and had to be replaced. The technician left to obtain the necessary parts and returned promptly. He immediately set to work replacing/repairing the door and we were soon good to go! The door operates beautifully and I know my car will be happy to be back indoors! Best of all...the cost was extremely reasonable (Being on a strict budget I was worried that the repairs would cost significantly more)! Additionally, the technician was happy to answer any questions I had and provided recommendations to keep my door operating smoothly with some simple maintenance tips I could perform myself. I will definitely be retaining the contact information for Doortec for any future garage door needs.

My garage door became jammed and would not open or close.  On closer inspection, I noticed that one of the cables had broken due to rust.  This occurred on Sunday.  On Monday morning I called Doortec, Inc.  I have been using this company for the past 15 years.  I talked with Stephanie and explained my situation.  She immediately contacted Jake, the owner of the company and arranged to have him come out later in the day.  Despite his busy schedule, Jake was able to fit me in by 3:00 that afternoon!  Stephanie called me 10 minutes before his arrival which was very helpful and considerate.  Jake identified the problems with the door and immediately repaired the cables.  He also replaced the second cable on the door because it had also formed significant rust.  The door was working perfectly within 15 minutes of Jake's arrival.  Jake also inspected my other garage door and oiled the hinges of that door.  I feel fortunate to have such a wonderful contractor that I thoroughly trust.  Jake is such a knowledgeable and professional person.  He always honestly tells me what needs to be done, and he completes the tasks within his designated time frame.  His prices are always reasonable.  He is such a pleasure to talk to, and I always learn something new when he comes for a repair.  I also appreciate all the assistance I received from Stephanie.  I couldn't get my car out of the garage because of the jammed door, and she did everything in her power to make sure that the repair was completed on that day.  I will continue to use this company in the future for all our garage door repairs and replacements.  Also, I definitely will recommend this company to family and friends.  Once again, thanks Jake and Stephanie for all of your help!!!

It worked out good for me. I have had them before in the past and I had been very satisfied with them. They were out within 2 or 3 hours after we called them. They did quality work. The guy who came out was nice. He was courteous.

I purchased a garage door opener from Sears in Crystal Lake IL and DoorTec is the company they use for installations. At install, I discovered that they also sell their own garage doors and openers as well. The evening before, Vicki called me to let me know they would be coming between 7-noon and would give me a call a short while before arrival. The next morning, around 8:45 am Vicki called to let me know they were about 15 minutes away. Darren Butler and his assistant showed up and got right to work. Both were very pleasant, professional, fast and efficient. The install took about 1 hr. including ceiling extensions that had to be installed due to my high garage ceiling. I asked Darren how he would run the wire to the wall unit. I did not even have to tell him my concern that it might be run at some diagonal or in some messy way - he said he always runs it at 90 degree angles very neatly - which is exactly what he did. He went over operation, left me his business card and also placed a sticker near the opener for future reference. They did an excellent job. I would definitely call them in the future for garage doors, openers, or service. This was a rare A+ experience for me!
