RIDGEWAY OIL & HEATING SVC

We have a contract with Ridgeway...who installed our heating and air conditioning  equipment during an extensive remodeling job several years ago. The original installation work was all done in an excellent manner.
They are always very professional and come when they say they are coming.  They clean and service the heating unit in the fall and the do the same for the air conditioning unit in the summer.  I expect our heating and cooling equipment to last a long time since they are receiving proper maintenance.    I'd highly recommend Ridgeway Heating and Cooling.

Furnace faiiled overnight. I called them the following morning about 9:30. The person at Ridgeway diverted a truck heading to another job to my home. They were there by 10:30.The 2 younger techs identified the cause within 5 minutes (power going to furnace- but control circuit board non- responsive). They could have said that ineeded a new board ($$$), temperature control, etc., 
 but found the trouble to be a transformer on the control board.

They could have said that they needed to go back to the shop & find the exact replacement part ( a tactic that others use (Laho for example, on a previous repair said that they needed to go to their shop to procure the "right" part- a standeard $8 can capacitor on an air conditioning unit)).
The extra trip would cause a secondary trip charge, and additional installation time for the "special" (not special at all- many that fail are standardized items) part.
Well this company didnt play that game, they didnt charge me an exorbitent amount for the part (ive been charged $200 for an $8 part), and repaired the unit in 1/2 hour with parts onboard that large white service van.
Compliments to Ridgeway for running a tight ship and for their fair pricing and for not preyng on the ignorance of the homeowner.

We were recommended to them by a friend. We went with them. They were prompt, courteous and dependable. We had no problem getting a hold of them. We did not have to call them before. They would always come out and do whatever we asked them to; usually it was only a maintenance check.The price was average.
