On the first day of the job, only 2 technicians arrived. Rob indicated the other 2 would arrive shortly after we left for the hotel. I stopped by throughout the day and no one else arrived. The following days, only 1 technician showed up.We spent 2 extra nights in a hotel because the job took longer than projected
Rob was to install new baseboards to match the wood floors. He chose a very low end material which came out very dark once stained.
We had a few spots where boards needed to be replaced. Our verbal agreement indicated we could have up to 10 square feet of boards replaced as part of the original cost. We spoke with the owner on several occasions regarding a damaged area where we wanted the boards replaced. He never told the technician. I came in just as the technician was preparing the floor to be stained without replacing the boards. If I had not intervened, the floors would have been sealed with the discolored boards still in place.
The technician Alex was at all times very nice and professional.
A friend also used this company to do his floors and was unhappy with the job. The quarter round and baseboards were not removed during the refinishing and were heavily stained during the refinishing. Rob indicated he would send a check to reimburse for the baseboard damage. The check has yet to arrive.
"The job consisted of 1200 sf hardwood refinishing , at the first meeting it was explained to the client it would take up to 5 day to complete project . The job started out with 2 installers and more to show up if needed. There is no low end oak base boards , we contracted to use ranch style base and could not fined in white at the time needed and ended up using colonial in white oak to match the floor at no extra cost .There is no control to how stain is accepted to raw oak wood , its a natural product. There was one repair for the existing wood discussed at first meeting , during project a second repair was needed due to pet stains we did at no extra cost . This project turned out perfect with no problems , we were in complete communication every day and the client was looking for an extra discount for nothing . Price discounted at time of sale by 10 % , quality of project at start garbage everyware , pet spills throught house of both kinds not even cleaned up , Responsiveness , answered every call from client , Punctuality , we were there every day first thing in morning and didnt leave till night , Client , Mrs was very happy at walk through with installer Mr looking for money discount for nothing wrong. Dont recomend working for a client that wants something for nothing, look out contractors ."
