Very attentive scheduling by Caesar. Removal and paving crews were diligent and polite, and took care to not block neighbor’s driveways or the street.

Kaplan was able to seal my driveway when everyone else I called was done for the season. Extremely happy with the results.

After two phone calls and messaging via the website as well as Home Advisor they never replied to my inquiries about my project. Obviously they are too busy to bother to tell customers that they do not need additional work.

I paid for Fill cracks and Re-seal my driveway for $105. What I got was a thin coat of asphalt with cracks still apparent as they were never filled. I called and then sent emailed pictures to show the cracks. I then was given a day to come back and correct. The date was set up and no show I called at 4:00 on the scheduled day-No call back. I placed a 2ndary call plus 2- emails alerting them about the issue. I was ghosted totally! I put in 1 more call and, yes no callback.

I paid $4,000 three years ago for the removal and replacement of an asphalt driveway. I now have very large cracks in the driveway that the previous 17-year old driveway never had. After repeated attempts, mostly via Facebook messenger, I did eventually receive a callback (1 month later) that indicated the following: 1) I should have taken out the optional 3-year warranty extension at the time of installation. Shame on me as I thought this company used quality materials and that their work would last longer than 3 years. 2) I did nott use their sealcoating service each year after installation and that also negated their need to repair their inferior product and installation. When you buy a car you have the right to take it to any grange for an oil change without invalidating your warranty. 3) "They don't make asphalt like they used to?" I agree with others about terrible customer service. Why have a and Contact Us section on your website if you're never going to return any requests? My neighbors used S**** P***** at the same time I chose Kaplan and their driveway is in perfect condition. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

The crew did a beautiful job on an extremely hot day,they told me what they were doing and why.They worked very hard under the conditions,the clean up was excellent.I would highly recommend Matt (our salesman)and the entire cre of Kaplan Paving.A neighbor came by and asked me who did it and if I would recommend them,of course I did!ð ð ð ð ð

Warning!!!! Stay away from this company!!!! The town of Palatine III was taking their time approving an asphalt job Kaplan paving did, about 5 weeks after work was done. Scott G. called me and emailed me threatening to **rip out** the driveway unless he is paid immediately. He was demanding payment whether the asphalt was approved by Palatine or not. Mr Scott G. claims that he does not care if Palatine has a problem with his work, he demands to be paid even if the work was done wrong. The total amount of the job is $2200. I prepaid $1200.00 leaving $1000.00 to be paid when the work was approved by Palatine. He has threatened repeatedly to put a workman s lien against my property for $1000.00. he has said he has a lien, but I have seen no evidence of this to be true. When Palatine finally notified me that the work was approved, I immediately sent Kaplan a check for the $1000.00 which they received the next day. when I was at work, Mr. Scott G. sent someone over to my house and started to rip out the driveway, It is sliced up ready to be removed. basically, he had it destroyed. I have filed a report with the Palatine police, the police contacted Kaplan but they denied destroying my driveway. The following is one email Mr. Scott G. sent me threatening to rip out the driveway. From: Scott G. Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2019 3:39 PM To: Shawn C. Ronak B. Scott G. Lars A. Cc: Jenny O. Subject: HOT -- HOT --UPDATE -- LIEN -- URGENT -- Kaplan Paving Shawn C Mr. C., I have heard from Harry S. His email is below: WE ARE NOW DOING TWO THINGS: 1) PURSUING LEGAL ROUTE TO OUR FULLEST EXTENT 2) WE WILL BE RIPPING OUT YOUR CURRENT DRIVEWAY AND TAKING BACK THE ASPHALT THAT WE OWN. Consider this the last email from us asking for final payment. Jennifer, PLEASE TAKE THE LIEN TO THE COURTHOUSE WEDNESDAY MORNING AND FILE.
