I found Glendon on Angie's List and saw that he was from Huntley, which is where I live, so I contacted him. He answered his mobile phone right away and was friendly and polite, and while he informed me that he typically only works in Del Webb, he said that because I found him on Angie's List and my subdivision is right next to Del Webb, he would come by to give an estimate. He arrived in less than an hour, and gave an estimate which was fair but was higher than I had paid in the past. (I had only paid $20-$25 in the past, and knew that was low,but had expected the price to be closer to $30. I have a 3-car driveway which is a bit longer than Del Webb, he advised, so the price he initially gave was $50 but since I didn't need the city sidewalk done (no kids walk past my house for bus stop and my neighbor doesn't clear her sidewalk either, so I'm not feeling TOO guilty about that ;-) he offered to lower the price to $40, which I appreciated. He had two guys with him, who cleared the driveway with a snowblower and shovel and the short path to my front door w/a shovel, and they finished up in 20-25 minutes. I appreciated that he asked if I had any salt and sprinkled what I had down for me. I would definitely recommend and quot;The Snowmanand quot; to other Angie's List customers, but would want you to be aware that his priority is Del Webb in Huntley, so if he can fit you into his schedule, it would need to be before or after he completes that entire community. For me, that may work out just fine since I have the flexibility to work from home, but for someone who needs it done in order to get somewhere by a certain time, it may not be the right fit. Glen (owner) did work along with the crew. They were always respectful, neat, timely, and willing to discuss requests and comply.
