2012 and 2014 Angie's List Super Service Award Winner. My most important tools are my knowledge, my experience and my skills. My services include HANDYMAN REPAIRS, INTERIOR PAINTING and REMODELING. My service area mostly includes HUNTLEY, and SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. The best way to reach me is to call me direct or send me a text with your name and address. This is our third time having Joe at the house and each time he has done an excellent job. This time my son was overzealous when he declined the new la-z-boy chair and went right into our family room wall! Joe did a great job with the repair and you would never know there was a hole. Was quick to replace the fans and made a suggestion to get a universal remote for our bedroom fan. We love it! Thanks Joe!

I originally had Joe do a couple of minor projects. He provided me options for the repair and then completed them. I then asked him about issue I had with drywall in my finished basement. He removed the problem areas and replaced the dry wall. Joe did a good job, was fair on his price and I will be using him in the future.

Joe came the same to day to look at the project after I contacted him after work and had a competitive proposal to me the next day. We set up a time frame to finish the project and he completed the project with time to spare, looks great, and would't hesitate to hire him again and refer him to friends and family.

It couldn't have been a better and easier process. Joe picked up the new microwave at Lowes, installed it at a rental location in Gilberts, disposed of the new one, and did it within a day. He then came by my house to drop off the paperwork. Unbelievable service! He's got a customer for life. Thanks!

Joe did an excellent job with the repairs needed. He made a great suggestion on different material to replace a transition piece where the laminate meets the carpet. We are very happy with how it turned out and it should hold up well in the high traffic area. He was timely, cleaned up his work areas, and was very professional. I am sure we will be calling him again!

Showed up 45 min after we first talked in the phone to put a quote together. We agreed on a rate and he pleasantly surprised me by saying he could get it done that day. Workmanship was good, and my wife was happy with the end product. I will definitely be calling Joe again to help me get a few more items off my honey-do list.

We bought a rental home which was in need of a full rehaul.  When we acquired the property, there were holes in the walls, cabinets busted, writing all over, etc. We needed someone that would work with us in doing a quality job, but be conscious of the $ spend as this was a rental home. . We needed everything done, walls had to be repaired, sanded, and repainted.  Bathroom had to have old wall tile removed, new tub surround, new shower line installed, new faucets, new toilet, new cabinetry, sink, mirror and lighting.  Kitchen need to have all old cabinets removed, new cabinets installed, new countertops, electrical work, drywall work, painting, and new light fixtures installed.  Basement had mold issue, needed junk removed, paneling removed, old shower ripped out, walls/floors cleaned.

 I reached out to 3 contractors from Angie's List.  Not all returned a quote.  Joe from Homefixer4U gave us the best quote of those that we did receive.

The work expanded over 6 weeks approx.  Joe kept in constant communication with me, asking me questions, and offering tips/suggestions as to how to manage the work while keeping our costs low.  He was friendly, responsive, and easy to work with.  As an example, we needed a new cabinet for the bathroom.  Prices from the stores ranged between $400-$600.  Joe happened to find one on Craigs List and asked if I'd be comfortable using it.  I confimed I would, he picked up the cabinet, which cost $40, and installed it.  It looks great, like new, and saved me $360-$560!

When it came time for the paint, Joe offered a couple of suggestions on color.  I agreed, and they turned out fantastic. He not only knows how to repair things, but has good ideas on decorating too.

Additionally, the work he did was top quality.  I would definitely use him again, even in my own home.  His attention to detail was greatly appreciated. 

I wish I took before/after pictures.  The house looks great.  I can't say enough good things about Joe.  Hire him and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Joe can be best be called a honest business man. He does not forget your project once he leaves and makes himself available. I would NOT use any other handyman than joe he is a top notch craftsman. He completed our remodel for our master bath shower, guest bath, and total redo of my garage. He will now move on to our next project which is on our deck. Very good person!

Joseph came by and gave me an estimate. I thought is was reasonable and accepted it. I signed a contract of the work to be done. We scheduled a start date. He was here and on time. It took several days and the work was done very well. I highly recommend Joe.

Joseph Sofia of Homefixer4u is professional and courteous. The unpredictable weather led to one instance of miscommunication regarding an appointment. The weather also meant that the work was done in stages rather than over the course of 1 or 2 consecutive days. Because I live in a townhouse I had to match the materials to those used by the original contractor instead of using cedar. He went above and beyond in deposing of the damaged deck boards. He even built in a little worker ledge so the deck looks better than new and is more functional. He did a good job of explaining the scope of the work to me as well as working with the village inspectors. I feel that I received top quality work at an affordable price. He also explained how to better care for the deck. I recommend Homefixer4u and will use them again myself when additional work is needed.

We are very impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail. Joe is meticulous about each step of the building process. He made sure that he put up a dust barrier to protect the rest of the basement. The walls are perfectly straight. He made sure he understood what we envisioned and then gave us his professional suggestions. We will be hiring him again when we complete the rest of the project.
