At first things were a little slow as Mr. Thornton has some other things he was wrapping up. He is pretty much a one man show with a part time helper, so while things didn't move quickly, Mr. Thornton did work weekends to try to keep ahead of pace. Due to the relentlessly bad weather, we were not able to finish the home as quickly as we would like, but he did finish in a respectable 4 months or so. He worked in all kinds of bad weather, never once complaining. Mr. Thornton is very detail oriented and a neat/clean worker. HIs work is outstanding and he had no problems at all with any changes we wanted to make and even suggested a few that we had not thought of, without charging us extra! The house we built is rather complex with a lot of cut up angles and a very steep roof on both the garage and the house. It is a little over 2000sf. and has a 6 foot wide porch around the entire house except for one side. Mr. Thornton went over an above his job duties whenever it was needed and the other contractors only had nice things to say about him. For example, our plumber, who is getting ready to retire and doesnt get around very easily, was going to have to put a pipe in the ceiling, Mr. Thornton offered to cut the hole for him and help him run it. The plumber was quite happy about this. The carpentry workmanship is outstanding and you can really tell he likes his work and takes pride in it. I would highly recommend Mr. Thornton for any of your contruction projects!
