They do a pretty good job! There is a little extra charge because they are not in my area, but they do a good job!

First, it was so difficult to get the appointment through. I don't think that it takes that long for him to set up appointment (six Weeks) before he does the actual work. Within the six weeks process, I made several calls to him. At a point I left a message for him and he would not call back until out of frustration I left him know that I am a member of Angie's list and that I will be required to send a review about him. It was then he called back and came to assess the job, fix the price and again took off for two weeks without showing up to do the job. We were made to sign contract for the job, mail it back and the pay deposit (120.00). He claimed he had no office when my husband offered to come to his office in Homewood to pay the deposit. He acted like he was not interested in working in our neighborhood-Country Club Hills which is just a stone throw from Homewood.
On the above date, he sent his men who ended up doing a very poor job especially with the pruning of the shrubs in the front of the house and garage. They failed to remove the tree entirely. I called him and explained to him that I was not satisfied with the type of the unprofessional job I had received. I requested that he should accompany his men to supervise them and ensure it was done properly. He never bordered to come with his men, instead his wife promised to send them back to finish the job. Two days later, the men came back and removed the tree unknown to us, but did nothing about the proper trimming of the shrubs and both Mike and the wife did not call to find out if everything was okay or not.
I am sure that Mike has a lot of customers that he works for and so he will not depend on my review to get more customers. Those men collected forty dollars for clearing of the tree branches and the leaves only for them to liter my backyards with it and making me do the picking and gathering of the twigs before my son will get injured with it.

We have a service contract with them. We have been using them for almost three years, since our old gardener retired. They are wonderful. Their prices are reasonable and they are very prompt. They are very dependable as well. We’ve no desire to discontinue with them.

We could not have had a better experience!! Mike came out on a Monday and we had our professional line by line estimate by Friday. The estimate was extremely fair considering the work we were having done. The estimate included a quote for new sod or seeding the yard. We opted to go with new sod. Once we paid our deposit, work started within the next couple of weeks. Once work began it was completed in two days. Two weeks after that, the foreman of the crew came to check out the progress of our new landscaping. He even gave advice on how to not make our plants so attractive to hungry rabbits! We 100% recommend Utermark and Sons Landscaping. We will always use them for our landscaping needs.
