Homewood Landscaping

The service is always great. They did what they were supposed to do. Hardworking gentlemen and gives fair pricing.

We received quotes from four companies in our area and went with Homewood Landscaping.  Owner, Randy Jostes came out and quoted a price that was reasonable for our very large job that included the following:

• Created new "trench" edges around all flower beddings and tree beddings in front, back and side yards. Installed new high premium dark brown mulch, 2.5 to 3 inches thick to all beddings.  
• Top dressed areas of lawn that needed grass with top soil and graded in.  Seeded areas with shady mix grass seed, raked in, rolled flat and added mulch.      

Even though it took more mulch than originally quoted, Randy honored the quote he presented.  He was on the job the entire time and the results were wonderful.  We could not be any happier.  Everything is beautiful and the grass is growing great.

I think I summed it up pretty nicely in the above comment, but It looked like wild life, and now it looks lovely.  Previous owner obviously had an infatuation with wild flowers, and had TONS planted on both the back of the house, and at the back fence.  I'm talking she obviously took a bag of wild seed, threw it out there and went with it. Unfortunately, wild flower kits have thistle, and it was overtaking the back portion. My dogs were not fans.  Randy from Homewood Landscaping took care of it very quickly. After talking to a few folks I believe I was charged too much, but the few others I had called didn't want the large job.  Had to get it done before it took over the yard, and the thistle grew in. 
All and all I'm happy with the work done, Randy is a great guy, and my back yard looks great.

My initial phone call was answered promptly and he arrived at my home on time, both for the estimate and the work. He was extremely polite, courteous and even friendly. His landscape ideas and plan were appropriate for the neighborhood and 6 months later, the plants are still alive. The plants were healthy and the spruce was chubby and cute.

Their pricing was fair. I told them what I wanted and it turned out looking exactly the way I wanted it to. They came when they said they would come and completed the project in a timely fashion. I would definitely use them again.

They pretty much devoted the whole day, worked until almost dark. I think more than anything was the cleanup. There was nothing for me to do. It was a mess up with old logs and everything that they hauled away. I was really impressed with the cleanup. They are very conscientious. They are full of ideas but asked my opinion before they started. They pay attention to details. If I can afford I will have them in the future.
