Hoekstra Heating & Air Conditioning

I spent a lot because I got the furnace and air conditioner, and I had a tremendous amount of duct work installed.  They did pretty good work.  Price-wise could have done better.

We have them come every year, we have a check every year. Whenever they come they do a great job. We do the annual contract. If you are handicapped, they come out right away. They are like Johnny on the spot. We had the air conditioning go out and they were John handy, because we can’t go without air conditioning. We do have to pay when they come. It’s a contract. You basically get your heating and cooling done at a cheaper price I think. If you have a problem then you are first on the list. If you’re handicap then you’re really first on the list. I think they come on the weekend too. I think their price is average. They are really good. They’ve been there forever.

They come twice a year, spring and fall. It's an annual check-up. I have a service agreement, so I don't know for sure what all that is. We've been using them for 40 years.

Hoekstra did a great job. Wouldn't hesitate to hire again or recommend them to anyone. Everyone from the scheduler, estimator and the installers did a great job. Very professional, high quality people and work.

This was the first time I called Hoekstra for service. They asked me the address and determined that they had previously serviced the unit for the prior owner. We set up an appointment time for about one week out. When the technician arrived, he went up in the attic where the A-Coil and blower are located--he was up there for all of about one minute and came down and told me he had to call the office because he did not think they still serviced high velocity air conditioners. He did not put the attic scuttle back properly and left finger prints all over it. He then went outside to make his call and came back in to inform me that he could not work on the unit. Since they had previously serviced the air conditioner, they knew very well what type of unit it was. They should have told me then, during that phone call, that they no longer serviced high velocity air units. If they had done that, I would have found someone else, and not wasted my time. As a result, I now am waiting another week for a different company to come out to repair my air conditioner. They need to do a better job asking questions and disclosing the services they do and don't provide. I definitely would not recommend them.

I've used them for over 20 some years. I have them twice a year do heating and air conditioning, before the heating season, before the air conditions season. I just know I trust them. I believe I have them scheduled for probably June, I think.

Just one person came. They were there for about 3 hours. They did well. They were very technically competent. I guess they did kind of a basic job so that's why I haven't used them again.

Polite, efficient, quick to come if you had an emergency.

The worker that I came in contact with was very good and very professional. He knew what he was doing and he got the job done.

Absolutely amazing service!!! This company was recommended to me by a friend/co-worker and told me that I could not go wrong with these guys. I can not say enough great things about them. Scott sold us the unit and spent over two hours with us going over our system and actually measuring all the windows and rooms and ducts. He also let us know our brand new airconditioning unit (sold to us by Four Seasons--avoid Four Seasons at all costs!!) was grossly oversized, and he was invaluable in helping us fix that issue! Our techs were Todd and Romeo--beyond professional and very helpful. Very courteous and careful of our house, Laid down sheets on floors everywhere for protection. Always wore shoe coverings. Answered every question we had completely. Helped us to obtain our rebate with the utility company. Cleaned up everything! They were nice enough to check the installation of the air conditioning unit at my request to make sure it was installed correctly--it was wired incorrectly and they fixed it on the spot. Absolute excellence with these two. I can tell you this--you can not go wrong with this company. Their priority is quality. I was able to text Scott anytime I needed to with questions. He was even nice enough to speak with me when I got home from work at 930PM. Everyone was professional, responsive, prompt and courteous.

They wanted $140 to even discuss pricing. Refused to provide any sort of estimate without sending out a tech and charging $140.

The service person showed up on time.  The maintenance on the A/C unit was performed quickly and professionally.
