I called Floyd's to get an estimate on a Humidifier repair and furnace cleaning.  After a quote was made I scheduled an appointment and the service guy came out and went over things and cleaned the furnace.  He had to order the humidifier and come back, which he did the next day.  He completed the repair the next day and also told my husband that our water heater was outdated and need to be replaced soon.  This was valuable information as we have only been in our house 7 years.  I was please by the work that was done.  I have used Floyd's before and will continue to use them.

A crew came within a couple of hours.  The removed the old furnace and installed the new one in a short period of time.  The job was done neatly and to my satisfaction.  The men were friendly and worked diligently to get the job finished by late afternoon.  The operation and maintenance of the new furnace was carefully explained.  I was pleased with the good service.  I'm not sure that I got the best price because it was January and there was no time to shop around.

I've used them for maybe 12 or 13 years.  They are very reliable, and they offer annual contracts that get you premium service.  They've always been helpful, they offer the correctly-sized filters and other parts for purchase when they visit if they are needed.  They offer friendly, professional service, and they give you a time frame for when they will arrive for service, arriving within that frame and even calling you before they come.  I've been very happy with the service I've received from them over the years.

I love Floyds! I’ve never had single problem with them whatsoever. I first started using their service in the early 90’s. Whenever I’ve had problems they’re Johnny-On-The-Spot. I think they’re pricing is reasonable. Overall, they’re a great company!

I had a very bad encounter with them. I asked them to inspect my furnace, and their technician told me I had to get a new furnace immediately because my current unit had a burn mark. I had a suspicion what he was saying wasn’t true. He used a high pressure sales tactic by repeatedly telling me I would have to commit to a purchase that day. I contacted the manager about this, and he came out to my home. In the end, the manager apologized and left. After that, I decided I was done working with them.

They’ve done everything they said they were going to do. I’ve never had a problem with their service. Their prices are reasonable, and their employees are polite and professional. The technician reminds us that we may need to replace our sixteen year old system because and he’s diagnosed serious problems.

Everything went just wonderfully with this company. They were very responsive to our call and even came out that same day. The following day they installed the entire system which took them 14 hours. Ever since then our heating bills have been lower. I would recommend this company to anyone.

They were really bad. They are cheap, and they also don't know how to do professional work. It was a big mistake to use them. We ended up having a much better furnace installation with another company. We asked them to come fix it, because they had done work before. This company got bought. This guy recommended changing the unit without even measuring. They were totally unprofessional. When the heating unit starts, it gives off a terrible noise. They never gave good explanations or anything. After that, the noise kept coming. They had to change a couple of units, because we weren't happy. We found that there was a smell, so I called this company. They found three leaks. I compared their work to another company's work, and the other work was perfect. Compared to that, this company's work was just plain glue. It was sloppy, substandard work. I will never use this company again, and I don't recommend that anybody else use them.

Floyd's came out the day I called about a lack of heat in a property I manage. The home was vacant, and very large. The technician found multiple problems with the 30 year old furnace-but the real scare came when I saw the holes rusted through the heat exchanger; living in Chicago, we hear news every year of families overcome by carbon monoxide, with occasional deaths reported. Throwing money into a unit that had run twice as long as it should have, made no sense-particularly since the parts needed were not readily available, and would require waiting until the following day. The unit needed to replace the existing unit, was the largest residential unit made by Carrier and would also take a day to get. The technician turned off the water at the main, and drained the entire system(including a 75 gallon water tank)to make certain we could prevent frozen pipes. This was really a step beyond and greatly appreciated. The service people were at the home by 7:30 the following morning, and completed all work within a few hours.

Arrived at promised time. Performed service in a professional manner. He did not try and sell a lot of other services or push to sign contracts, which I found refreshing. I will use them again this Spring for the air conditioning.

I put in a call after 11:00 p.m. thinking I'd just leave a message and hope for the best. I was very surprised when they called back and then when they were at my home around midnight that night. He was professional, explained everything, quickly fixed the problem and the charge was more than reasonable. I highly recommend them.

FLOYD'S HEATING AND AC HAS DONE A NUMBER OF SMALL PROJECTS AROUND OUR HOME OVER THE LAST YEAR. THEY ARE VERY PROMPT AND COURTEOUS OVERALL. AS WE HAVE NOT USED ANYONE ELSE, IT IS DIFFICULT TO COMMENT ON PRICE BUT FOR SOME OF THE WORK PERFORMED (E.G.: 10 MINUTE 90-DEGREE ELBOW INSTALLATION), THE PRICE OF $100 SEEMS A LITTLE HIGH.
