Aleck Plumbing is family owned and operated and has been serving the Chicagoland area for nearly thirty years. We are a full service company handling residential/commercial properties, sewer and drain rodding, bathroom remodels and new construction projects. At Aleck Plumbing, our plumbing technicians are both licensed and bonded, with a professional attitude and clean, precise workmanship. We have an on-call technician at all times to take care of your plumbing emergencies, as well as a 24 hour answering service. Communication is key. Our office staff is friendly, accommodating and well versed in all plumbing issues that may occur, enabling our technicians to arrive at your job informed and prepared for the task at hand. PLEASE NOTE: All service requests should be directed to our main office. We appreciate all the messages we receive from our customers through Angie's List but all questions about appointments (scheduling, modifying services, etc.) need to be handled by our dispatch staff. Aleck plumbing destroyed my yard and didn’t have the courtesy to apologize for the damage despite my calls. I blame mainly the owner of the company (fish stinks from the head down) , I have several pictures showing the damage.. I’ve sent them to the owner and didn’t receive any response…,

Overpriced and untrustworthy. They charge $200 an hour and will still bill you if they stand around and do nothing. Got charged $400 for them to sit in their vehicle. Then they left and didn't do any work! Came back a 2nd time told me they fixed everything but there were still leaks. Came back again. Fixed the "leaks they missed last time" then took down one of the walls saying "There is a leak behind it" but there wasn't any?! Got charged for that. After all the bs the total was over $2,000 and this was done to a struggling single mother with 2 teenagers. Disgusting....

I called Aleck Plumbing in a week ago to unstop a backed up toilet. The job was done quickly and efficiently, I thought. Today, 6 days later, I had the same problem. Problem solved again. However, I was also charged again because they say they don't warrant unclogging toilets. They are pricey and with this policy, I will not be calling again.

We've been using Aleck plumbing for 30 years now, and they always do great work. In the past two months we've had them out three times. Once for a leaking outdoor faucet, once to install a new toilet and once today to repair a leaking pipe in our basement. In all three cases the workers that came out were very professional and did great work. However Joe Gabel went above and beyond. You can tell that he takes great pride in his work and is not satisfied unless the job is done right. From now on we are going to request Joe for service. Great work Joe!!! John and Janet Schmidt

Arrived on time, repaired pump and replaced pipe in sub-zero windchill weather. Ed expained clearly what occurred and assisted me to locate a cleanup service. This is my second time using this company...quality and professional service each time! They are a bit expensive but worth the extra costs.

Aleck Plumbing was very professional and courteous. The plumber who came to service us was named Ron and he was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to help us out even when he really didn't have to. Their prices are a bit on the high end, but they carry high quality stuff. I would recommend Aleck Plumbing if you are looking for a no fuzz job well done, punctual and want high quality work.

It went great! As I requested, they actually removed the stopper (which is screwed in from under the sink) so I could insert a screen to catch debris. I've asked numerous plumbers to remove the stopper and I'm always told to do it myself. If I could do it myself, I wouldn't ask. So I'm a happy Aleck Plumbing customer...thanks for listening!
