andys work is outstanding. he takes great pride in what he does. his price was more than fair. you'll never meet someone more fair and honest than him. I highly recommend him.

Our roof was damaged from the recent storm and I asked my State Farm agent if he knows a reputable roofing contractor. Andy Skik of Skik Enterprises Inc. was highly recommended by my State Farm agent. My husband and I never met him in person (he never made an effort!). The communications I had with him were via text and voicemail messages, I made numerous telephone calls and received one email from him. On August 19, he told me via phone that he would come to our house on the day the claim adjuster will inspect our roof and siding. On August 24, I called to let him know the date and time the claim adjuster will be coming to our house, and that he needs to come early so he can take down the tarp per the claim adjuster's request. After the phone call, I sent him a follow-up text message laying out the same information. A week after, I called to ask him if he'll have the time to do our roof because he never returned my calls and/or acknowledge my text messages, his response was a resounding 'yes.' On Monday, August 31, I called to remind him about the set date for September 3 at 10:30 am with the claim adjuster and he said he'll be there. On September 3 around 8:30 am, I called to find out what time he'll be arriving and he said 10 am. The claim adjuster arrived at 10:13 am and I immediately called Andy and he said he'll arrive in 3 minutes. ANDY SKIK NEVER SHOWED UP. The person who came was Chris (he was the one who put the tarp on August 19). I asked Chris if Andy is coming and he said he doesn't know. I don't understand why Andy Skik lied. He called me after six days (September 9) and he sounded perplexed on why I was upset since he sent Chris on the day the claim adjuster came. At that moment, I couldn't continue to listen to him. I sent a follow-up text message to refresh his memory on the exact words he used on several occasions and not once he said that he'll send Chris to meet with the claim adjuster. What I learned is ANDY SKIK is not reliable or trustworthy.

They came within 1 day and performed the repair perfectly.
Andy and the other man (didn't catch his name) were very friendly and easy to talk to.  They explained everything and showed a picture of the repair so I could see how it went.
They're coming back to do some siding repair in the near future.

the quality of work was poor. I had to be constantly vigilant of minor details. Work quality was not up to par.
scheduling and sequencing of work was not planned well. Things were being done as they occur. For example, my carpet install was scheduled with home depot, it would have been nice to have tiles finished before that so hope depot contractor could tuck in the carpet properly.
Dry wall was not evenly done, it had bumps and thickness of bottom and top was not the same.
trims were not properly aligned, baseboards were not evenly matched, edges and corners were not well cut. I am having to pull them out and do some again.
Cabinet install was not done properly. The plumb levels for wall cabinet was not even at all. They used airbubble where as industry standard would be laser level. Eventually I had buy a laser level and to do it myself. I had to get my counter top contractor to revisit me 3 times each costed $225/visit). This caused a lot of frustration and additional work on my end.
Hard wood was installed in kitchen which is rising/peaking now. hard wood was not installed wall-wall in kitchen as discussed in the contract.
Andy is a wonderful person to work with, but work delivery was not good at all. so many things. If you are not supervising every bit of it, his team worked around things instead of doing things correctly. This being a big renovation, I was looking for tips and suggestions in planning the project.
Andy is not good with responding to emails/calls which adds to frustration. At the end, the work is still incomplete. They stopped to respond to my calls/emails. No responses on my final email for contract termination either.
Very unprofessional work. The project was supposed to finish in 2-3 weeks.. its been 4 months and I am working on things myself.

Very good and fast work. They were working hard outside even while is was raining outside. Job was done on time and never had a problem since then.

Very good Work, would use them again.  I dealt with Andy from Skik Enterprises.
