They used ladders to get on the roof and repaired the edges with metal flashing, then set trapps and returned to empty them. They had payment options and got the job done in a timely manner.

Chicago's Green Trappers Bats… Do you think you have bats in your attic? Have you had a few in your house? Or seen them flying around your house around dusk? I had a small colony of bats in my attic and let me tell you it is no laughing matter… not something to put off as it can lead to MAJOR property damage and worse potentially the death of you or your family. Growing up my favorite comic book hero was Batman, just a regular guy trying to do what is right in honor of his parents. But the ugly truth to that story is Bruce Wayne had needed all that money for all the rabbis shots he must have had to get hanging out in that cave all the time. These guys are the real Bat Men! So real quick let's go over some facts, health risks, and property damage risks… Bat colonies are comprised of females, the males live out on their own, and because of this the colony can more than double each year. Bats are the main carriers of rabies, and most cases of rabies in America are caused by bats. Their teeth are very small and you won't always know if you've been bitten. In one of the situations where a bat got into my house, I woke up to a bat flying around my room. Do you have a baby or toddler? Your baby won't know if it's been bitten and won't be able to tell you either way. In the end that bat got away from me and I never found it so I couldn't get it checked for rabies. You see what I am getting at? So in the end I had to get a series rabies shots as a precaution because I had been exposed (Which is a lot more than what these guys are asking for their work) and I ended up sleeping in my tent in my living room for a couple weeks. If you start showing signs of rabies it is too late and you are pretty much going to die so do not wait if you are exposed to a bat or bitten! Only 6 people have ever survived rabies after showing signs of the disease. Additionally bats carry fleas and mites and guano can give you Histoplasmosis, a lung disease, elderly and babies are easily effected by Histoplasmosis. Property damage you ask? All sorts! Bats urine can erode wood, their guano can accumulate and the weight can cave in the ceiling below your attic. Dead bats caught in your walls will eventually rot and smell rancid. Depending on where in the wall the bat has died you might have to cut a chunk of your wall out. I can go on but you get the idea… Another surprising fact is that we need bats! Yes they can be a headache but the environment needs bats to eat the 1200 mosquitoes and beetles they can eat each night. So yes bats are essential to our environment and they are protected by law. So the only humane way to take care of a colony of bats is by putting in "exclusion doors" so the bats can exit but not get back in. Has to be done before or after the colony of bats has their babies. You DO NOT want to try using poison, as it is illegal and will only make the problem much worse! Also sonic sound machines don't do anything. Walking around my house Jerry pointed out each entry spot that he saw- and I honestly had no idea what he was pointing at, I had to have him point and explain where exactly he was looking. I would never have seen any of these entries as a bat can squeeze into a hole a quarter inch in size. So in conclusion I strongly recommend you call Chicago's Green Trappers they are absolutely worth calling, for peace of mind and so you don't have to spend even more money on rabies shots for you and your family or the eventual property damage a colony of bats can cause. I recommend these guys for their knowledge, experience, expertise, and humane methods.

This company was initially contacted due to a mouse that was found in my home. I first spoke with the dispatcher named Jeff and then was told that Jerry would be the one calling me as he would be the one to complete the service. After speaking with Jerry we set up an appointment for him to come to my home and take a look and the interior and exterior of my building to find where and how the mice where coming in. I was told over the phone I would initially be charged $175 upfront and then would possibly be charged more later depending on what needed to be fixed. I agreed to that amount and gave Jerry my credit card number so a payment could be taken for the initial consultation and placement of rat poison around the home. I asked him to send me and the owner of my condo a receipt and or summery of the job that was completed that day. According to Jerry that information was sent to my owner. My owner said he never received anything so I asked him to send me the information instead. After multiple calls to Jerry and Jeff, nothing ever got sent to me. I am extremely upset with the customer service and lack of professionalism from Jerry, who is allegedly the owner of the business. Jerry and Jeff are the only two people I have been able to get a hold of with this company which seems very strange and suspicious to me. There was also never any paperwork emailed or given to me about the service that was provided. What astonished me the most was when Jerry asked why I needed the receipt so badly and kept persuading me to refer to my credit card statement. When someone buys a service or a product from a company, there is always a proof of the service completed and a receipt for proof of payment. This entire experience has been absolutely terrible and I will never do business with them again.

We are so grateful for their help. Jerry got rid of the rats by putting steel flashing and sealing all of the holes. Problem solved!!!!

We have used the rat patrol team both in 2014 and again in 2016 and both times were impressed and satisfied with their thorough service. We had rats that had made their way into the building and then into the interior of the apartment. Jerry came out and took time to locate exterior entry points around the building, noting a few. He also used an anti coagulant to bait the rats, which he said when eaten the rats return to their burrows and then die there instead of in your walls which can happen with regular poison. He referred us to a sewage company to come out and close up our catch basin where there was a hole which the rats were entering our main pipe line from. Jerry took time to listen, explain, and really seek out the right solution. It's good to have someone who tells you the way it is as well, Jerry explained the number of rats per human in Chicago and their life styles which was helpful in coming up with a prevention plan for our area. Hoping to employ the rat patrol for a yearly inspection at our condo building. We would recommend the Rat Patrol to all our friends dealing with city rat issues! We have used a different exterminator one year and noticed the difference in what was used and still had a rat enter the inside of a unit. My husband was the one who caught it that time and sealed the hole with a steel plate. Won't waste me time with other exterminators this time. Spend the money call rat patrol and get it done right.

they arrived promptly for both the initial consultation and the follow-up to stop field mice from entering our home.  they determined where the mice were entering our home, took steps to prevent the mice from entering the home again, and it has been over two months now with absolutely no signs of mice, so they did a great job taking care of the problem.

He worked cleanly and efficiently. He was very courteous and explained everything he was going to do. He answered every question patiently. (I asked a lot of questions). He set the chemicals safely and quickly in a very safe location, and blocked all outside openings around the house with strong, long-lasting materials. He was very knowledgeable.

They had to come out again but it was fine. I paid like $900. I think it was just for coming out and and then doing anything more cost a lot more. It was nothing spectacular. I thought they were a bit expensive especially given the Deal from Angie's List was so much lower. Given that they were out there, I felt like I had very few other options than to go with them. I had to followup a number of times.
