These people repeatedly disturbed me during my work day attempting to pitch me at my front door - four times over three days. And then they decided it was appropriate to leave their flyer in my mailbox - which is a federal crime if you're not a USPS mail carrier.
Response from Progressive Adjustments Inc

"We never knock on peoples door. With a heavy volume of hail chasers in the area we must have been confused with one of them. The only mean of advertising we use and pay for, whether it is Berwyn or every other city is Every Door Direct Mail EDDM for flyer distribution which is an official paid service of USPS."

We suffered a fire loss on 08/26/2016 and the insurance company offered us a check of $84,000.00 for repairs. We knew the amount offered was insufficient for the amount of repairs required. After trying to work with the insurance company to no avail, we did some research and decided to hire Progressive Adjustment Inc. It took almost a year, but with their knowledge and help, we were able to collect an additional $110,000.00 from our insurance company. They answered our numerous questions in a timely manner and never left us hanging. I would recommend Progressive Adjustment Inc. to anyone who needs representation with home insurance claims.

I’m trying to think of how to write a positive review that doesn’t sound like it’s made up! Seriously, I am super happy that I found this company, and I want other property owners/managers to know how great this service is. I’ve saved myself tens of thousands of dollars by working with Progressive Adjustments. I had weather damage to my roof and needed a total roof replacement, and was fortunate to find Progressive Adjustments here on Angie’s List. I got estimates from several other contractors – including one other public adjuster – and it was clear early on that Progressive Adjustments was the one to go with. From the beginning, I found Voytech super easy to work with – He’s excellent at communicating with you exactly how the process of dealing with the insurance company will work. And the great thing is – you don’t deal with the insurance company yourself at all. Voytech does it all and reports to you along the way. And reports just the right amount. You’re not bogged down in details, but you’re also not left wondering what the heck is going on. From his first site visit, Voytech recommended a larger-scope project than what I knew could be covered by insurance. He saw that the old asbestos-containing siding on our building was also weather damaged and should be replaced entirely. Wow. I knew the asbestos tiles were a liability, and if their replacement could be covered by insurance – well, that would be fantastic, but it sounded way too good to be true, because I know asbestos removal is a big deal and costly. Voytech was very clear that it was a bit of a long shot, but worth trying. All in all, it was a 10-month process. Not fast, but Voytech had told me from the beginning that it would likely take that long. There were several points along the way when it looked like we weren’t going to get the result we wanted. But Voytech was persistent – and knowledgeable and experienced and well connected in the industry – and all of that paid off tremendously. All I had to do was be patient. In the end, Voytech got everything we were asking for: full insurance coverage for roof replacement on my two-flat and coach-house, plus vinyl siding to replace the asbestos tile siding on the two-flat. It was a roughly $65k project. The amount out of my pocket? Zero-point-zero-zero. Seriously. (Of course, this is how insurance is supposed to work.) Once we got the agreement from the insurance company, the work was handled by Voytech’s technically separate contracting company. (As Voytech had made clear from the beginning, I had the option of paying him to do the public adjustment part and then hiring a different contractor for the actual work – but you’d be nuts to do it that way. Because I hired his contracting company, his public adjuster role cost me nothing.) His workers (the ones I met anyway) were all great, very professional and responsible. And the final product is outstanding. One thing to realize - Not everyone will necessarily have the same results I had. There’s definitely some luck involved in terms of how your insurance company’s adjuster responds and how the appraisal process plays out. But I can emphatically say that the best possible result you can get is to have Voytech working for you. Also – I will add that I have read all the other reviews on this site, all of which are completely positive, and have found every one of them reflects my experience. I’m happy to give Progressive Adjustments the absolutely highest possible recommendation.

I have many properties and was considering calling my insurance company to evaluate my home for hail damage.
I called Voytech, he arrived early to our appointment and I proceeded to give him 10 addresses to evaluate for potential claims.
He was honest and at the end there was nothing to claim but he was a pro throughout.
Highly recommended!

They were very professional. They gave me a quote. However, the work that they did ended up being less than what they quoted us, so they only charged for the work that they did. They showed up when they said they were going to and did a good job.

Our Condominium Association filed a claim after hailstorm because our roof was significantly damaged.
Few days after that, Insurance adjuster arrived and started to perform his inspection. He was not very pleasant; he acted like he really didn’t care about our loss. After spending maybe 10 minutes at our property he said that he is willing to pay only for half of the roof and he made it clear that we will not get a penny more…
I did some research on line and I found a company who could help me resolve our dispute with insurance company. Progressive Adjustments is a licensed public adjuster firm who acts as our legal representative against my insurance company in a claim process.
They challenged insurance estimate by requesting appraisal. They have met with my insurance company representative one more time at the property and after tough negotiation process not only they have made insurance company pay for entire roof but also for some additional items such as gutters, windows wraps, awnings, etc. Basically the doubled the amount of the claim.
Outstanding performance. Great service. Thank you.

My house has suffered from severe water damage due to laundry machine accidental water discharge.
Flooring was soaking wet, walls and baseboards ruined and hardwood floor started to buckle.
Not to mention most of my personal goods was severely damaged by water.
I called my insurance agent and filed the claim. However, after insurance adjuster visit on site I was not satisfied with the settlement. In my opinion insurance estimate was way too low.
Moreover, Insurance representative could not address clearly any of my concerns and his explanation for the low amount of the settlement was not sufficient policy coverage.
I knew something was not right. At the same time I realized that I don’t have enough knowledge of insurance law and construction background so I could fight against them myself.
I called Progressive Adjustments because they specialize in adjusting underpaid claims.
Basically they act as “your advocate” against your insurance carrier. If you feel that your claim has been underpaid they evaluate an insurance estimate, check your policy coverage and cross reference with local building codes and ordinances.
If they find an evidence of insurance negligence they prepare an independent estimate and negotiate the final settlement amount directly with your insurance carrier.
For such service they charge a fair amount commission which is a percentage value of the surplus of the estimate before and after their involvement.
Bottom line: from the proposed initial settlement of $3500 they were able to settle the final amount of 11,500. After their “cut” I ended up in over 150% more.
Thank you Guys.

I was considering roof replacement this summer so I ‘googled’ for roofing contractors in Chicago…One of the listings caught my attention in particular: “Get your new roof for free”Of course, as probably everyone in my position, I found that hard to believe and I was very skeptical at first. However, I called them anyway… just out of curiosity I guess. I spoke to Voytech – Progressive Adjustments representative and I asked him how that is possible and what’s the catch? He laughed at first and explained that “free” means that my insurance carrier may cover roof replacement if there was a hail storm damage on my roof and they as a Public Adjuster firm would represent me in a claim process. He offered obligation free inspection of my roof. Sure enough after roof inspection, he discovered that my shingles have been damaged by recent hailstorm and I may be eligible to file a claim. He checked my homeowner’s policy to make sure I have the proper coverage and explained that his work as a Public Adjuster is to assist in claim process and make sure that I will receive a maximum financial compensation from covered loss (Hailstorm) The process was really simple. Basically I authorized Progressive Adjustments to represent me in a claim process and they took care of all required paperwork. At the same time I was kept in the loop during entire claim process. They have made a very fair settlement in literally two weeks. After the settlement was completed, they offered help in finding professional contractor to replace my roof. Public Adjuster as well as the roofing contractor performed outstanding service. Most importantly, I got my new roof for FREE as advertised

Our Building has suffered significantly after the recent hail. The damage to the roof was pretty serious. Condominium Association is nothing but a larger household. However, when it comes to the major reconstruction project like roof replacement it could use entire building reserve funds leaving no and ldquo;cushionand rdquo; for other emergency repairs that might occur throughout the year. The only solution for multi-unit condo in the situation like this is to introduce special a monthly assessment that affects all the tenants in the building financial wise. Progressive Adjustments was helping a friend of mine who happened to live just a few blocks down from our building. He told me about a professional service they provided so I decided to call them. They showed up the same day; examine the roof and exterior of the building. After careful inspection they advised to install a tarp on several spots on the roof that were most affected by hail and strong wind in order to prevent internal leaks to the building. I thought that they are some sort of special emergency contractors. What I learned is they specialize in homeowner claim damage to hail, fire, water, etc. and they negotiate settlement directly with insurance companies. They are almost like your personal lawyers (actually not lawyers but public adjusters who are your legal representatives against your insurance carrier). Needless to say: You wouldn't go to the court without a good lawyer. Why would you go through the claim process without a public adjuster? Bottom line is they are specialists in insurance claim field and they can negotiate much more money for the claim than an and ldquo;average Joe like meand rdquo;. They have done a tremendous peace of work. I don't want to write another paragraph about the process itself, paperwork, etc. they can explain it much better anyhow. What I want to point out is they were able to make a settlement in the total amount of almost $38,000. NO NEED FOR SPECIAL ASSESSMENT! Actually it didn't affect our condominium association budget at all. All the money came to us by mail in the form of insurance checks that was later given to a contractor who did the work for us.

Money Savers!!

In general very professional service. They kept us up to date with the claim process.
Technically their service ends with the settlement check but they really stepped up and helped us to coordinate work with different contractors to utilize restoration time more efficient.

You must remember one thing:

They are public adjusters not builders or contractors - they are looking for an extra money from insurance claim. That's it.

Restoration process is a totally different animal, separate restoration contracts, different companies involved, etc
They just coordinate everything to go smooth through the process and really provide service from A to Z

I had some roof damage and asked a contractor friend who does full remodeling work, builds houses and additions and has been in the remodeling and building industry for 30+years, if he could refer me to a roofer or send one of his guys over to give me a price for the repairs. He told me to call Progressive Adjustments first, just in case the damage was weather and storm related.
I had never actually filed an insurance claim on my home before and still called a couple local contractors first before I even called Progressive Adjustments. Progressive Adjustments offered me a free consultation and in my mind, if I did not have to deal with the insurance company, I did not want to have to. I did not think it would be worth it to file a claim on the damage and I thought it would just be a big hassle and big time commitment on my end with the insurance company and all the going back and forth. One thing I do know is insurance companies are more in the business of collecting premiums than in paying out on claims.

Look what happened in Florida a several years back with the hurricane damage, insurance companies denied claims to the point of the Attorney General having to step in and take them to court. Same thing happened in Chicago with flooding damage a few years back; so many people I know were not covered because they did not know they had to have “special riders” in place. Just having flood protection was not enough; they did not know they had to cover the loop holes in their policy too.

So I did end up calling Progressive Adjustments and had them come out to my home. Am I glad I did! Looking back it still amazes me how well everything turned out. Not only did I have damage that was due to a specific weather event, but it turned out in the end I needed a whole new roof!

Progressive Adjustments came out to review the damage and my insurance policy. I was informed it looked like I had a claim and the next step was to have them represent me and then they would contact the insurance company. The insurance company agreed on the damages and offered to make repairs on one section of the house that amounted to roughly $4, 000 in repairs.Progressive Adjustments was not satisfied with this, because from their experience, they knew certain towns did not allow any repairs once you have 2 + layers of shingles existing. Besides making such repairs by patching in new with the old is really not effective long term.

I just let Progressive Adjustments handle everything and I mean everything with the insurance company. All along through the entire process, they under promised and over delivered. What a refreshing business service approach!

It was an involved process going back and forth and back and forth with the insurance company. The insurance company would deny part of the claim and Progressive Adjustments would counter with more information and backup that was all within the scope of the insurance policy. In the end, through Progressive Adjustments diligence, expertise, knowledge and professionalism, the insurance company agreed to do a full tear off with new plywood sheathing and completely replace my entire, including gutters and the flat roof section of my house! As a bonus, Progressive Adjustments installed Architectural Shingles with a 30 year Warranty.

I believe the experience and professional relationships Progressive Adjustments has with all the various insurance companies claims adjusters and the respect they have in the industry, must have played a part in my receiving the full benefits rightfully due me though my insurance coverage in my policy.

I would have never received anywhere near the compensation on my claim that I was rightfully due had it not been for Progressive Adjustments. Nor for that matter, would I even probably have made a claim in the first place. If I had filed the claim myself, I would have received only the $4000 and would have had nothing but problems in the future with that patch job! The total claim value in the end came to over $19,000 and now I have full brand new roof and the peace of mind that comes with knowing I have a safe and secure home for the next 30 years. That is a wonderful feeling!

Mind you, I had a roof that had 3 layers and cedar shake as the base layer. It all had to be torn off and new plywood sheathing was put down as the base layer. It was a huge job. Since Progressive Adjustments did such a great job in working with the insurance company, I decided to go with their in house roofing company. That worked out great for me as well and their guys could not have been more accommodating. They did a fantastic job and took care of everything to my complete satisfaction.

I have already recommended Progressive Adjustments to four of my friends, with them having similar results and I will continue to recommend them. I cannot sing their praises enough; they really did a fantastic job for me and my family.

I had minor water damage in my house. I wasn't even sure if it is worth to file a claim with my insurance company. Progressive Adjustments Inc and ndash; Public Adjuster firm was recommended by friend of mine who had similar problem in the past. I called them and told about my recent water damage. They offered obligation free inspection of my property. What I learned after complimentary inspection made by Progressive Adjustments representative was that minor water damage might lead to more serious issues in the long run. They advise an immediate water mitigation process in order to prevent mold and fungus spreading around my house. Also it turned out that my hardwood floor started to buckle and carpet was soaked with water. They examined my insurance policy, checked the coverage and after explaining the entire process to me I have decided to file a claim. They took care of entire process: filing the proper paperwork, preparing an estimate for the damages, they even helped me finding contractor to do restoration work. They met with my insurance company representative during field inspection and after negotiating process with my insurance company I got financial compensation for over $26,000!!! If I file a claim by myself most likely I wouldn't even get half of it. They are well trained professionals with knowledge of claim process and construction experience. What they get for it? They are commission based company; If they couldn't help me they wouldn't charge me a dime. However if they are able to negotiate financial settlement they take percentage of the total amount of the claim. Bottom line is this: even after their and ldquo;cutand rdquo; I ended up with more money than if I would do it on my own. If I have any fire water or other damages on my house again in the future (God forbid) definitely you are my and ldquo;go toand rdquo; guys. Thank you.
