"We were very upfront with this customer on cost and time lines. The standard is 4 to 7 weeks to have custom cabinets delivered. They arrived early, but we had commitments and were very upfront about our timeline. To accommodate the customers budget, we didn?t subcontract out a lot of the work. This was also explained to them to make every effort to work with their budget. They also had change orders because their original scope of work changed. Change orders will always cause delays and costs. We gave them a bigger break on the change orders regarding costs to help them with their budget, but had no control on the additional time it took to complete their requests."
