The worker showed up on time lay down cloth so as to not track any dirt in the house and weâ re very professional the whole time I highly recommend them asked to see the after photos when theyâ re done and youâ ll be really impressed.

Called Koala SW and scheduled a free estimate appointment for 2 days later. Adam was on time, friendly and after checking out the attic made his recommendations. Described the process that was easy to understand. Reasonable fair price for what we selected. Scheduled the work for a week later; 3 crew, Kyle and 2 others were on time, described their step by step process and were polite and friendly. Completed the job in a little over 2 hours. Cleaned up after themselves. Professionalism of Koala was much appreciated. I would recommend them to others.

Hired Koala to install closed cell spray foam in my attic, and what an absolute mistake that was. They CLAIM, they do plenty of spray foam, but I have serious doubts. The first red flag was when Ian, the estimator told me that I keep my old blown-in insulation on the floor for added R-value. It took me thirty seconds on a google search to find dozens of articles saying you have to remove all blown-in insulation, otherwise you can have condensation issues which lead to mold and other issues. When I asked Ian about this, he said he talked to his rep and yes, the old insulation must be removed. Should not a company that does plenty of spray foam already know this? So then they come and do the job. I paid for 4 inches of closed-cell in all my rafter cavities and on my gable end walls. The attic should be completely closed off to any outside air penetrations. Needless to say, that did not happen. I had both gable walls that were completely uninsulated, they did not block off the roof vents, there were multiple areas that were completely unsprayed, and several more that had no more than an inch of foam on them. They come out a second day. I am in Vegas the second time they are out, but my daughter is at the house. They spray the two gable walls, spray one of the roof vents, and completely skip over the areas they missed and under sprayed the first time. Now the good part. They broke the condensate pump in the attic for my AC unit, so my attic floor had water running through the ceiling of my bedroom. Then, the installer in the attic puts his hand through my ceiling. Mind you, never once did I get a call from ANYONE at the job to tell me about these issues. Not once did anyone mention a word about this to my daughter who was downstairs in my house while this was all happening. So now I had to pay a tech to come to fix my AC. They sprayed over a smoke sensor for my home alarm system, both of which had to be fixed or replaced. Yes, the koala reimbursed me for those costs so I can not hold that against them. On day three of the project, I had Ian, the owner of the koala, and a worker here. The worker had to fix the hole in my ceiling, and finish the actual spray foam job that I was assured by Ian would be 100% completed the second day, and it was not. I was told the koala would offer compensation to make it right, and they started off by offering us $183. Yeah. You read that right. I told him absolutely not. Then they offered us $500. I still do not think that was sufficient, but the owner said he was not going any higher because he already lost a ton of money on the job. He made sure to tell me this multiple times as if his estimators inability to bid a project is my problem. Or the fact that his crew can not do the job correctly the first time is somehow my problem. I wont tell anyone how or where to spend their money, but I would just caution you to think long and hard if it is with koala insulation. This entire experience was easily one of the worst I have ever had with a contractor. Buyer beware when it comes to this place.
