LaMantia was first class all the way. We cannot say enough good things about the owners, design team, and project manager, as well as the tradesmen. They did a complete kitchen remodel for us and it was done on time, with absolute quality and professionalism. We had a few small hiccups along the way, as you always do with contract work being done, but what set LaMantia apart is they stepped up immediately and resolved all of them without trying to pass the buck, or nickel and dime us. Their project manager, Mike, is absolutely incredible to work with, he's on top of everything, and he's wonderfully kind, our 4 and 5 year old little girls wanted to adopt him as their uncle, he was so awesome with them. They are honest, accountable, forthcoming, hardworking, and talented people. We have worked with other contractors in the past (basement build out, patio/outdoor kitchen, pool install), and LaMantia is BY FAR the BEST contractors we have worked with. I cannot recommend them enough.

shortly after the new step where poured cracks started to appear. I had watered twice a day as instructed but they indicate these cracks are normal. Now something is leaking out of the cracks. there are multiple dime size flakes and chips as well. LaMontia and Ozinga have both been out but indicate this is normal.

We wanted to change the flow of our house and LaMantia was able to provide a great design. They were able to work with my schedule in order to make sure I was given the information I needed throughout the process (I work 10hr days and was not living at the house during the remodel so they were able to e-mail and call me to keep me updated). They were willing to work with us on having some of our friends complete parts of the work in order to save some money on the process. They moved a powder room to the back of the house, opened up the kitchen to the dining room, added hardwood floors to the kitchen and a back mudroom, gave us a bar area in the kitchen as well as a buffet/counter in the mudroom with an opening to the dining room. When we had any miscommunications they were very helpful in clearing things up and getting the work done. They were great even with all of our last minute changes and helped us to find ideas that would look great when we weren't sure of which tiles would be best for the backsplash. Only thing I would recommend in the future is providing more information on painted cabinets vs. wood cabinets and the pros and cons of each. We did not realize how susceptible painted cabinets would be to humidity changes in the house and would have gone with wood cabinets if we had known.
My family has used LaMantia many times in the past and I will continue to use them in the future for remodel projects or additions.

Gutted the kitchen and reconstructed it.  Put in new cabinets, some new lighting, new venting from the stovetop to the outside of the house, put in all new appliances and redid electrical connections where needed.  Filled in small leftover spaces with cabinetry for spices, knives and misc. kitchen items and foodstuffs.  The workmen were excellent, on time each day and cleaned up after themselves each day.  The quality of their work was superb and the management of the workforce was great.  This was the third time I've used LaMantia and I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

They remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms completely. Partially remodeled the master bath, painted the entire house, replaced the hardwood floors in the family room and kitchen and re-sanded the floors in the utility room, dining room and hall. Additionally, the put in new concrete and a new sliding door in the kitchen. They also replaced the wood trim throughout the house and put in new wood interior doors. They were excellent and very professional. We have recommended them to anyone who is thinking of remodeling. We would use them again and would highly recommend them. No one on the team disappointed us--from the design to the final product!

Overall, La Mantia did an excellent, quality job at reasonable costs, and their employees at every level were professional and good to work with from a customer service perspective. We have an older home, more than 100 years old, and as you might expect, the job presented some surprises. La Mantia handled unexpected changes that were necessary and kept costs reasonable. We particularly liked La Mantia's and ldquo;design-buildand rdquo; approach, in which the designer/architect worked for La Mantia, but closely with us. We considered the alternative approach in which we could have hired an architect to design the job before putting it out for construction bids, but we felt we benefited from the La Mantia approach. La Mantia's architect presented creative, but practical solutions to our design objectives and the problems that inevitably popped up on such a project. The construction management team was also first rate and very responsive to our needs. We would use the La Mantia team again and, indeed, expect to.

From the initial consultation with Gina to the final touch ups by Andy and Rodney, LaMantia's entire crew were very professional and responded to all of our questions and concerns. Gina is an excellent designer and provided us with many ideas we had not considered. She and Katie came to the house and helped with paint colors, tile selections, fixtures, etc. Gina also went with to pick out the granite for all the counters Additionally, Gina provided us with many references and even showed us some of the work LaMantia had done prior to our committing to LaMantia.

Frank, the job superintendent, was very thorough and very detail oriented which I thought was great. I appreciated his attention to detail as I am like that as well. There were a few glitches like the cabinets being destroyed in a truck accident in route to our house, but LaMantia stepped up to the plate and got replacement cabinets within a few weeks coordinating a rush order with the manufacturers. Not only are they all extremely skilled at their jobs, they are also nice people. They all go out of their way to ensure that the customer is happy and satisfied. We highly recommend them.

They are very reckonable and always do their work. I had an issue a year later so they came back and rebuilt the whole of the floor. I think they were great. They answered to phone calls, answered questions and worked with me.

We met with Gina, one of their designers. She took our ideas, and enhanced them. We happened to have a conversation with Andy LaMantia who saw the concept drawings and then suggested adding a bump out to the suite to accommodate the radiator and add a bench seat. This expanded to having built-in bookcases. The initial proposal was slightly above our price range and Gina worked with us to fine tune the proposal to where it was acceptable. Next we met with Katie, who helped us with tile and fixture selections. At all times they made sure we knew what our allowances were and suggested ways to select what we wanted while maintaining our budget. All of the staff were helpful and wanted us to have a quality product. They did not try to sell us on things we didn't seem interested in. They listened to what we had to say(unlike some other contractors we had spoken to who were more interested in selling their high end cabinets and counter tops). Once work began, we had day to day contact with Chuck, our superintendent. This man was a pleasure to work with. He made sure we were fully informed as to the current and upcoming events. He was always available to answer questions. We had his cell and if we got voicemail, he always got right back to us. Chuck stayed on top of the schedule and made sure people were there when they were supposed to be. At the same time, we had regular contact with Gina and Katie, who made sure we satisfied with our selections. Our demolition team leader was Alex. He made sure everything was masked off and the site was clean during this phase. We lived in the house during this entire project and he made sure the dirt stayed out of our living areas. His crew worked quickly, but carefully. Our framing crew was fantastic. While there was a tarp over our missing roof, we had a major storm come through. We were away that night and the carpenters came out at the height of the storm to ensure our house was secure. There could have been major damage, but they prevented it. The other trades did very professional work. We had some "side-work" done by one of their regular subcontractors. We were unhappy with how it was progressing and LaMantia went to bat for us, even though it was not their responsibility. It worked out. They wanted us to be happy with the total project. Our plumber was fantastic. The electrician did an excellent job as well. And I cannot say enough about the finish carpenter. Andy is an artist! He did the trim work, tile work(including glass tile)and added some little touches that improved upon the plan. The project came in on time and mostly on budget. We did go a little over on some unforeseen infrastructure work. They also have a 5 year full warranty on their work, so we have peace of mind. I can't say enough about them.

Project was supposed to be completed in 4-5 weeks -- was completed in 5 weeks -- did not realize it would be one person(s) per day working on their specialty such as just install a floor versus continuous work, so had to keep up good communication with contractor to ensure kept on schedule. A number of things went wrong as they do in old houses and the company promptly responded and fixed all problems at no additional cost. Would use the company again

EXCELLENT! Cannot say enough about the professionalism and workmanship! Vince did an outstanding job planning the project and seeing it through to completion. Our project manager was very attentive, professional, and constantly in communication. Everyone, from the demolition and concrete teams to the electricians, plumbers, drywallers, roofers, flooring specialists and carpenters did a superb job! I've had work done by a competing design/build company in the past, and LaMantia absolutely blows the competition away.
