Brandon and Matt replaced our A.O. Smith water heater on a planned/non-emergency basis and also repaired a valve at our house. Brandon and Matt were very professional, knowledgeable, tidy, and courteous - - answering questions as they completed a quality installation. The owner Victor was also very knowledgeable, and we found him straightforward to talk to when we planned this work (in comparison to some other plumbers would only provide a quote if paid to visit). Hinsdale Plumbing’s prices were very fair and competitive with other quotes that we received, and their final bill exactly matched their verbal quote. One potential area for improvement would be their communications; it seems best to speak directly with Victor by phone. But obviously the most important thing is the plumbing work itself, and we were very pleased the results by Hinsdale Plumbing.

They are fine, they are good guys and they worked with our neighbors too. They are prompt and professional. It took them about an hour and it took 6 hours for them to come out.

Used to be responsive, but since 2013 started taking 2 weeks to return calls, or would just not respond. Victor seems to just not care anymore. After my last experience of getting a quote to fix a recirculating system fixed, getting a $1,300 quote and then not come out or refuse to answer calls, we are done with them. Sad, because they used to be good. 5 requests and no response is nuts even if you are busy.

They never followed up with information on the repair parts. When I called their office, a person named Steve told me that the owner would have to order the parts and he took a message. After a week with, again, no response, I called again and was given the same information. I tried calling the owner directly and texting. No response. One last try with the office produced the same result. If they could not do the work or obtain the replacement parts, all they had to do is call me. Not sure how you stay in business operating in this manner. Would not recommend this company.

We were very pleased with the work that was done.  He came over very quickly after we called when I explained we had guests over the Christmas Holiday. After we determined it was the drain connection we took the shower out of service until we could get organized for a proper repair.  Victor was professional and helpful to explain what preparation work I could before he came back to repair it.  His crew came back to make the repair which necessitated opening up an access hole the dining room ceiling.  Effectively the custom drain fitting that was grouted into the shower was not even connected to the PCV drain piping.  He found a very creative and effective solution that precluded us tearing out the tile so that the repair was made quickly and economically.  Overall we were very pleased with the work.  Thank you very much!

They come in filthy, are not professional, and do not exercise any discretion. They also can't fix the problems.

They came out and fixed it with courtesy and professionalism. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for and they did a great job!

My experience with them was very good. They were very prompt. I was having a problem because the pipes became loose and sprayed water around my basement. He came right away within 15 minute and took care of that. Then he came back after two weeks to replace the pipes.

The waste water sump pump in my basement was getting stuck while rumming. I called Hinsdale Plumbing and they said they would be by in the next day or two, which was OK with me. They sent 2 young men a day later. We looked at the job and discussed the option. Replace the pump. When I asked how much it would cost they "cheekily" replied $700.00. Like "take it or leave it". I inquired about the old and new pump warranties, and they said the old pump had no warranty left on it and the new pump would have a 3 year warranty. I approved the work and they installed the new pump. Meanwhile, they had no carpet booties and had to take off and put on their shoes every time they travelled accross my white carpet. After the old pump came out, they asked me for a disposal bag which I supplied. After the job was done we did the paperwork and I paid for the job. After going back downstairs, I was disappointed to see that they marked up my freshly painted basement floor and left debris all over. They never asked for a broom or tried to remove the marks from the floor. My dissappointment was that I paid a premium price, but received inferior service. There was no hard copy of the warranty when I paid the bill.

I had called several other companies to do general plumbing work and was dissatisfied with their work, so I called Hinsdale. Their prices were a little high but their customer service is impeccable. I had an issue and they came out immediately to fix it. I could not be happier and the work they did is incredible. They worked until 10 o'clock at night to make sure they got it done that day. I really enjoyed their service. The person who takes their calls is a little spacey, so unless you are clear about what you need or contact the main plumber himself then you can get what you need. It is best to contact the main plumber directly.
