Great - was more money than I really had wanted to pay - but did a great job.

I couldn't be happier with the service from Lara. During the initial orientation she asked very insightful questions to get to know my dogs and also what I wanted from her service while I'm at work during the day. She is very calm and gentle around my dogs and most importantly, Lara is dependable.

Lara and her dad came to check in on our dogs every day while we were gone.  My friend who stayed at my house told me that Lara put the newspaper and the mail on the counter every day, cleaned up after giving the dogs their treat - green beans.  Lara charged us $160 for 12 days of care and it was worth every penny for peace of mind.  I would hire and recommend Lara and her dad in a second. I felt completely comfortable giving her the key to my house.  Not only is she completely trustworthy but she is licensed and bonded.  Ever since we hired her she has dropped off treats for our dogs.  For Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas she dropped off homemade treats for our dogs. The topping on the cake was this morning-Christmas morning, she left treats for our dogs, treats for us- a box of tea, and a brownine and a Christmas card with a picture of our dogs on the front.  I was so moved, I immediately sat down to type this and felt completely guily that it had taken me this long to do it.  Of all of the providers that I have used from Angie's List, I am most pleased with this choice.  I cannot recommend "A Walk in the Park Pet Care Inc" in Burr Ridge enough.   I would love to nominate this company for your page of happiness.

Lara was great.  You felt on meeting her that she really likes animals and would take very good care of them.  She and her husband watched our 3 dogs for 5 days.  She does a very professional job.  On our first meeting she asked all about the dogs habits, feeding  etc, and took detailed notes.  We felt completely comfortable with her AND, so did our dogs

They are awesome and my dogs love them. They charge $50 for a dog and they stay all night with our dogs. It's a small family run business and they provide great service. They are courteous and they take care of the house like it's theirs.

A Walk in the Park Pet Care is great. When we come home, our dogs are happy and well taken care of. The house is in good condition too. They are just super people.

We left for 10 days. When we returned, the mail was on the counter, the house was exactly as we left it and the dogs acted as if we had never left. What more can you ask

An initial interview with all the right questions was conducted in my home at my convenience so that Lara could meet my pets (2 small dogs and a cat). She was extremely organized, and asked all the right questions, including some I didn't think of such as 'who do I contact if something happens to you'. Some of the other questions such as 'are there any areas they do not like to be touched' shows the level of care and concern (and knowledge) provided. The daily updates were informative (and entertaining). It took one of my dogs a bit to warm up to the sitter, but nobody gave up, and notes on all the encouragement made me smile. I cannot begin to say enough about this company. I have had to travel for business more frequently, and have already contracted them again for another 3-night stay. I can rest easily knowing that all my girls are well-cared for and happy. You can totally trust these folks with your precious pets and your homes! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

This is full service pet care at its best! Lara is the owner and operator and she is fantastic! Even if she is just walking your dog, she takes the time to get to know your pet and and your family's needs in order to offer advice and help on issues that come up. I have several neighbors that use her as well and think she's wonderful. We all have different types of dogs with different temperments and different ages and she is great with advice on training, illness, safety, etc. And the dogs love her! I also know she takes care of other types of animals as well. Lara fosters dogs in her own home so she has a lot of experience with illness and behavior issues Lara is also very trustworthy and reliable. She takes my family's privacy and security very seriously and is very considerate of my home. She is extremely responsible. In two years, she has yet to call in sick and always responds to phone calls and emails the same day. Lara is a true dog lover that takes her job as a business owner very seriously and goes above and beyond to do her very best for her clients.
