Initial estimate was $6,000, which I thought was much too high and declined. Nelson figured out a less expensive way to do the ceiling and soffit repairs, and rebid the job at $4500. While this still seemed high, I accepted the bid because he and his crew could do the work immeciately and I wanted to get it done before my bookcase builder was scheduled to install custom bookcases on all four walls of the sunroom. Nelson and his two workers arrived on time each day and worked efficiently. The drywall and ceiling repair work was excellent. They used a special sanding machine with a vacuum attachment that minimized plaster dust. However they forgot to paint the brick wall of the sunroom, where ceiling paint had dripped, and they were unable to do a bathroom wall repair job that was included in the estimate, because they lacked the skills to remove the toilet as required to do that work. I expected that they would take care of this on the next phase of my project, in connection with remodeling bathrooms. However, I learned today that Nelson has gone to Guatemala for his annual two month vacation, and therefore I will need to find someone else to do the work.
