There was a large variety of shades to choose from. I was able to find a beautiful silk one that made my lamp look like new.
The repair was done quickly, within a week.
The shade was a bit expensive but the owner explained why the shade was well made and how less expensive shades can discolor over time.
I was impressed with the big selection of both shades and lamps. It seems every style was represented. There were some beautiful lamps that I overheard were "one of a kind."

Lake Forest Lamp and Shade Co. rewired a lamp, and damaged it in the process.  When I brought the lamp back the next day to show the owner the damage, she refused to acknowledgef that it occurred in her shop.  She would not replace, repair, or pay for a new lamp.  She was extremely rude and unwilling to listen, or admit to any wrong doing.  She told me that the damage had to be my fault, or that possibly another customer damaged it while in her store, but she would not pay.  She went on to say that my lamp was a piece of junk from China, not worthy of being in her store, and that I overpaid for it.  While I was discussing the issue with her, another customer came into the shop, and she turned away from me, and would not discuss any more.  My lamp is ruined.  The store has not paid a dime.
