About us

We are certified chimney sweeps by the Chimney Safety Institute of America. We do inspections, sweeps, tuck-pointing, cap sales and installation, and all other repairs to fireplaces, chimneys and wood-stoves. We also have a specialty retail store with wood, pellet and gas stoves, Weber, Big Green Egg, Primo and Traeger BBQ Grills. We also special order Telescope Casual patio furniture to enhance your home living experience. We perform inspections for real estate transactions that can include camera inspections of the interior of chimneys. We install and service stainless steel liners for wood-stoves, fireplaces, furnaces and water heaters. Our certifications allow us to inspect anyone's installations and make necessary corrections following NFPA 211 standards and the International Residential Code. Our inspections are based on these documents as well as manufacturers installation instructions. Reports to homeowners include any visible deviations from industry safety standards. We also have a large number of supply sources for replacement parts for most currently manufactured hearth products. Some older equipment no longer have parts availability. Mr. Wise had to order the necessary parts as they were not immediately available. He came back within a week and worked on a weekend day to complete the job. He was punctual, professional, left our premises clean. We will use his services again for maintenance and cleaning. Very friendly gentleman who likes to chat and provide information about other reputable repair businesses in the area.

Shortly after the inspection we hired the same company to install a vented gas fireplace insert. Great work on that too. Now we just sit back on those cold days and click the remote to turn on the fireplace and enjoy the look and heat.

We have been using Home and Leisure Lifestyles for over 8 years now. They annually clean our woodstove and clean the chimney. I feel good knowing that I can trust them to let me know if they see a problem with our chimney or stove so it can be repaired. They leave a report card about our chimney on every visit and I keep these on record for my insurance company. When they come and clean the stove and chimney they are very meticulous and clean every little nook and cranny. The very first time we had them come out we just couldn't believe how detailed they were in cleaning. I didn't know there were so many pieces to my woodstove that would come out and need cleaned. They utilize protective throws to keep the area indoors clean when they maintain the woodstove inside. They automatically set us up with an annual appointment and contact us a couple of weeks prior to see if that date is fine or needs to be rescheduled. I highly recommend that anyone with a woodstove or fireplace use Home and Leisure Lifestyles for their chimney maintenance. I know I will never use anyone else but Home and Leisure!
