We worked with the customer service manager to find a carrier that could deliver by a specifice date, since we would only be in South Carolina for the weekend. The carrier was great, delivered on time and even assisted with unpacking and removal of the packing materials. However, two of the pieces were shipped damaged - you could see they were manufacturing defects and not damaged during shipment. In one case, all of the casters on the coffee table had been changed to white when all of the other pieces had brown ones. We took pictures with a camera phone and immediately contacted the store to notify them of the damage and arrange replacement for the end of May when we would be back in South Carolina. Initially the customer service manager wanted us to take better pictures even though we would not be able to do this until late May, when we returned. We told him they would see the damage/defects when they picked up the furniture. Then he told us he would have to deal directly with the manufacturer so he wasn't sure if they could resolve the claim and ship to arrive by the end of May. We reminded him that there was another set on the floor and they could ship us replacement items from that set. That was the last we heard from him until we contacted the vice president of the store via e-mail in early May. Immediately after contacting him, the customer service manager called and said he would work on shipping replacements to arrive by the end of May. He called us again on May 24th. which was the day we arrived in South Carolina. He told us he had been very busy but would get back to us with an update on the replacements. We provided him with home and mobile phone numbers. As of today, June 8th. we have never heard back from him or anyone else.
Description of Work: We purchased a set of Lane Venture patio furniture for our second home in South Carolina. The sales person was very helpful and told us they regularly shipped out of state without problems. We paid extra to use their preferred carrier in order to ensure arrival by a specific date (April 30th 2012). The carrier was great, delivered on time and even assisted with unpacking and removal of the packing materials.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in taking care of this issue. After filing a claim with the manufacture, we should have followed up on the status of the claim. We did not do this. Hence the delay. We have since worked with the manufacture to get the replacement parts sent to their home and we are working with a local person to do the service for the customer. We did drop the ball on the follow-up for this and that is not the way we do business. Again we apoligize for any delay in getting this resolved..

Overall, my experience in dealing with this company, subsequent to paying for my patio furniture, has been very frustrating and disappointing. They seem to have no commitment to providing even adequate customer service. Even the customer service manager himself failed to provide minimal service -- he would not even call back even after he promised to do so.
Description of Work: I purchased Brown Jordan patio furniture from this company in the past and I need replacement parts for the patio chairs. I contacted the company to place an order for these parts. There have been a total of five phone calls/faxes -- all initiated by me -- since August 17th. It is now September 18th. The first time I called, the person to whom I spoke said he would look into it and call me back. I received no call. Then I called the Customer Service Manager, Chris King, who told me that an order was never placed but that he would "track it down" and call me back to let me know the status. He never called back. Subsequently, I called him back on two different occasions and each time he told me he would call me back. I have, to date, received no calls and have no idea if they ever ordered the replacement parts.
