I can not find the date and cost of the job, so numbers are from my bad memory.  They fixed the leaky roof seal around chimney.  AND they fixed some damaged shingles in another part of the roof.  AND they fixed my ridge vent that the builder did not do correctly.  AND for the extra things I wanted done they did not charge me very much more at all.  I am very happy.

Good value paid for the service.

The owner is certainly courteous and priced within competitive market range. I called to install an 8and quot; round kitchen exhaust duct penetration on my flat roof. (essentially drilling a hole through existing built up roof membrane, insulation, plywood etc. and dropping a galvanized metal round duct into said hole, capping , and installing a patch over existing roof to make water tight. They did NOT install any type of flashing boot (rubber or lead ) to flash over the installed duct...rather PILLED on roofing cement over this penetration ... thus creating a condition where water can enter at any given time After 2 seasons of freeze thaw the cement formed a gaping crack ! Adequate flashing is roofing 101. Our home is 56 years old and the existing bath exhausts with lead flashing still remain water tight. I made the assumption that a roofing company would flash this penetration correctly.. . to my surprise when i witnessed water cascading through our kitchen exhaust, down our backslash tile and ruining our plaster ceiling to the tune of $7,000 in damages to cabinets, paint, and lighting... i was well shocked.. a professional service that doesn't understand or forgets to flash an opening. And to top it off NO response from them... no returned calls.. NOTHING...

We were very happy with them. They were very responsive. It was quick and easy. Price wise we don't have anything to compare them with. We will use them in the future.

My only mild negative was that we had to call to find out when the work would be done. Otherwise he showed up on time and was efficient.

He charged less than what he said originally. He is responsive, reliable and trustworthy. He does good work.

It was a minor roof repair. He is reasonable, relatively honest, can be heard to get a hold of, at times he is busy. He does a decent job and charges a reasonable price.

Excellent overall experience.

Jeff Jenkins is the owner of this company. The best thing about Jenkins is that he was able to work together with another service provider and take care of the leak. They did not delay each other one bit, they co-ordinated with each other and solved a leak problem that has been happening in this house for roughly forty years. I have used him for several other work too. I will use this provider in the future.

I thought the price was fair. They did a very good job. The leakage had happened for the past 30 years, and nobody could solve the problem. He solved the problem. I had the roof replaced on the sun porch, and that guy came back quite a few times to figure out what the issue was.

Jeff Jenkins of Modern Roofing is a pleasure to work with. He has done work for many of my clients in small condo buildings in Chicago. He is timely, professional and provides excellent work at reasonable prices.

Interviewed and received estimates from 5 competitors. Chose Modern based on personality of owner (Jeff Jenkins), references, price, high level of detail in estimate, apparent expertise in this type of work (repair / replacement of low slope rubber roofs), promise that he would be present and participating in the work himself, and long warranty on work. All went well!

I wanted to wait until the roofs had a year on them before submitting feedback. Overall I was very impressed with the work and with Jeff. We had some difficulty in scheduling a start date for the work, but I was sufficiently impressed by the quality of the job that I would definitely use Jeff again for flat roof work. I thought he did a superior job and that his price was very competitive.

Being a small shop responsiveness is expected to be slower than a company with a estimator NOT a problem. Jeff and the guys showed 2 days late which he did call to let us know of the delay. They cleaned up all the old roofing and picked up 95% of the nails and took GREAT care not to damage our plantings.

Jeff, the owner, and his crew were fantastic and showed up on time every morning. From start to finish; clean, friendly, and helpful. Would highly recommend to friends.
