install seemed to go fine. a couple months into the service, we had a lot of weather related outages. After their commercials of these huge storms not taking out their signal we laughed and said - ya right. We called and complained. We were told we would have to pay a service call to adjust the dish or pay for their service agreement. Either way, it was going to cost us an unacceptable amount to fix their installer's problem. It has never gotten better and we are waiting for the two year contract to expire. This company sucks!

I just never had a problem with them. It is a satellite service and all went just fine. It is just like something we wanted. I would give them relatively high grades across and would hire them again, if need be.

We have found that Direct TV's customer service reps on the phone are hit or miss. Sometimes they are extremely friendly and supportive, while other times they are rude and unhelpful. The service company that they hire out to do their service calls are the same - unreliable. We have had several repairmen that have come out to move wiring, etc that simply throw up their hands and say "I don't think I can do this", and then when we call to complain, another person comes and they can perform the simple task immediately. We have had so many problems with repairs and customer service that we would like to switch carriers but cannot do so until our contract is up.

Keith was running a bit behind that day due to his previous appointment running long, but he called ahead of time to let me know. After a short explanation of what I needed done, Keith did a very thorough job installing and tuning the dish on my roof and running the cables. There was a little trouble getting the cable through the packed 3" raceway (he did not have enough fishing rods to go the entire distance), but with some assistance from me (and my fishing rods), he was able to get the cables to the basement and connect them to an 8-way multi-switch that I had ready. Keith also lacked ground wire in his van, but this was not a big deal and I picked some up a couple days later. He verified that the signal was being received from all five satellites using my DirecTV receiver and cleaned up some attic insulation that had fallen onto my carpet. The job took just about two hours.
