Chico's Tree Land

Left large stump and tried to squeeze more money to remove it. I did not want to grind the stump but wanted it cut down to the same reasonable level that I got on trees I had removed before. They refused to fix their work. They fixed it later when my next door neighbor demanded it as a condition for giving them his work.

Removed tree. Left 8-9" stump instead of 1-2". Refused to fix it.

I called a bunch of placed from Angie's List and nobody wanted to do the job we had and I happened to see these guy's truck on the street. I probably won't be using them again. They kept saying that they were going to come out and he would squeeze us in and it kept being pushed further and further and I kept calling and they wouldn't answer. We happened to come home to find them out there doing it. They didn't tell us they were coming, they just came out and did it. We offered to pay the guys who came out to do it and they did a decent job. They took away the bushes and all that but we asked the guys if they wanted us to pay them and they said, no, we'd be billed. So this was on Saturday, on Monday morning I get a call that the owner is sitting in my driveway ad he wants me to bring him out a check and he wanted the check made out to him personally and not to the company. The cost was $200, it was $100 a bush which I thought was a little pricey but they would do it. The bushes had died over last winter and my husband thought he could take them out but then he couldn't get the stumps out. They were like cement. They had to grind them out.

I emailed Chico's to see if they could write an estimate.  Friendly Tony came to the house shortly thereafter (on a Saturday!) and provided a very competitive estimate. Since I needed a tree removal permit from the city I scheduled service about one month later.  Tony was very accommodating of my time window.  The tree was removed without incident and the stump was completely ground down to just below ground level.  There was zero mess left behind. The only thing they did leave was a small mound of very fine course wood chips from the grounded stump that made an excellent side dressing for my other shrubs.  I plan to use Chico's Tree Land for all my future tree care needs.  P.S.  Around the same time Chico's removed my neighbor's dying cherry tree and my other neighbor's three dead ash trees with seemingly similar results.

Chico's is the only company I will ever use for tree trimming or removal and is the only company I will recommend to others.  I have used Chico's for several jobs and the price is always the best.   Tony is very professional and the workers were prompt and left my backyard so clean!

I have used them always to do my tree work, either pruning or removing. They have been reasonable and responsive. They do it safely to avoid the danger of tree falling on the houses.

Tony at Chico's did a great job! Once i had the City permit, the trees were removed within a few days. Chico's gave the lowest bid of four, and did everything asked of it--removing 8 trees and grinding out the stumps. It also didn't and quot;sweat the small stuffand quot;, and agreed to cut trunks and limbs into firewood-lengths, remove a large shrub and remove an old brush pile on-the-spot at no extra charge. Chico's used a large team of workers who buzzed through the job in less than a day. No lawn ruts or errant branches laying around--no trace they were here except missing trees. I couldn't be happier about the project.

They arrived promptly as promised, did everything I asked and left the property cleaner than when they started. We were totally pleased with the work performed.

They were very good. I would recommend them to the others. I will use their services again in the future.

Was very neat and tidy. This was done in a soft area in the yard with flowers a few feet from the tree. There was not damage to the yard or flowers. I was impressed.
