Ethan asked to enter the basement. He immediately stated that my basement was backing up from the catch basin into a floor drain. I told him and Glen his helper that the drain hole was plugged and that water puddle is from a leaky water tank Ethan disagreed with me. He went on to say that he needed to cut a huge hole into my floor and charge a cost of $1800 and advised me how I can get my insurance company to pay for it. Glen was using a broken scoop to clean my catch basin, but wanted me to believe that the break happened while working at my home after six scoops of waste. I had a scoop I gave it to them, they took it but never used it. Ethan suggested to stop scooping and to rod the sewer drain. Really these men used about 15 feet of rod then said that it started to binding up. Ethan assumed I knew nothing, so he lied often telling one lie after the next. I paid him $165 just to get rid of them. He insulted me with his lack of integrity. Now I remember why I started doing things myself, because of dishonest contractors. I have trees roots at about 75 feet out that block the flow of waste going out out to the main sewer. Every three years or so I will rod the line myself. This year for a change I wanted to pay to have the catch basin cleaned out and the line cleared professionally. Well I wasted 1 hour and $125 ddfor absolutely nothing.
