I'm not certain what their specialty is but, I can tell you that it is not working on an import vehicle. I was originally quoted a price of slightly over $4,000 to replace the engine with a new crate engine. To my surprise a crate engine is not completely new parts but, rather is a short block with needs many of my old engine parts put on in order for it to be complete. :-/ Nalley's had my car from the first of June until early September before it was ready. During that time I made a visit to see the progress only to find that an empty shooter-size Jim Beam whiskey bottle upside down in one of the Intake Manifold ports. What!? Finally, my vehicle was sent by them to another garage in a neighboring community to "trouble shoot". The next day it was fixed and ready to be picked up. Total cost- over $6,000! NOW, five months later and only 2,600 miles on the new engine a heater hose in the back of the "new" engine ruptured. I had my vehicle towed to the other garage (who found the previous issue in less than a day). Due to the placement of the hose between the engine and firewall parts of the new engine had to be removed in order to gain access to the part. Part cost= $54.99; Labor cost= $1,149. SO, I ASK YOU THIS, SHOULDN'T A GOOD MECHANIC RECOMMEND REPLACING ALL OLD HOSES PRIOR TO PUTTING THE NEW ENGINE IN? Nalley's lack of recommending this just cost me another $1,200!!! Will I ever take my vehicle to them for repairs? NEVER.

Response from Nalley's Garage
"At Nalley's Garage we aim to please our customers within reason. Our apologies for the extended time that was required to complete the job, it was directly as a result of the bolts that had to be drilled out because of the parts being fused together. We also apologize that you have existing electrical issues and new electrical issues but in all fairness, it is our policy to take care of checking into a customers concern as long as a customer makes us aware of these problems. Upon reading this review I have to say that this is the first time I was made aware of any underlying issue that exists since our repair. We will have no problem checking into issues you have and we will rectify any issues that you feel that we did not address or resolve. Please feel free to call when you are able to drop the vehicle off for us to check over the electrical concerns you are having."

Quick and solid quote. They were willing to use good salvage parts at
our request, and found a part with less than 30k miles on it. Job was
done quickly and at the quoted price. It's a family business. They also
shopped local suppliers for best prices on new parts before we requested
salvage.
They do quote flat book rate for time, but the labor is
reasonable, and very little markup on parts. We will use them for any
automotive services we need that we can't perform ourselves. The Kia's
are particularly difficult to service yourself, as information, such as
service manuals are unavailable. Nalleys subscribes to a professional
service that has that information.
Three months later they re-did
a brake job on the Sedona, that had been performed by our local
universitys technical institute. We had taken the car back to the
university for the re-do (car was shimmeying badly), and they insisted
the brakes were OK. I requested that Nalleys check the rotors for
consistant thickness, and they found the rotors to vary in thickness by
more than .080 around the perimeter of the rotor.
They replaced the rotors and did a brake job at the same time. Car rides and drives smooth as glass now.
Good people.
