 + -1 moreI had 3 wrought iron porch railings where all the bases had totally rusted. One railing was in such bad shape it would no longer stand vertically without assistance. I called Welding Specialties after receiving several estimates from other companies and not only were they willing to beat my best price but they could also guarantee a max. 3 day turnaround. After agreeing on a price via phone, Welding Specialties arrived at my house on a Friday, detached the all 3 porch railings and called me on Sunday stating the railings were ready for installation. Since I live in the south suburbs of Chicago but work in the downtown area, Welding Specialties agreed to arrive at my house 2 hours early to start installation so by the time I arrived home, the installation would be completed. I was totally pleased with the work and would not hesitate to use the company again.
Description of Work: Welding Specialties welded new bases on 3 wrought iron porch railings: Two 6-feet handrails and one L-shaped railing on a concrete porch with 6 steps. One handrail was in such bad shape, it would no longer stand vertically without assistance. I had to place cement blocks on each side of the railing to keep it standing. Welding Specialties made the new bases much thicker than the originals and painted the bases to match the color of the railings before re-installing them. The quality of the work was excellent and I was given a quick turnaround.
